Avoid

Get it set up & next time I use it it is off.

Simple and effective

I know a lot of people dislike this app for various feature or design issues. I really like it for simplicity. I use it in our Arctic Fox camper. My Ford dually has built in pitch and roll but it is not calibrated to the bed with a load. We do a lot of boondocking, and I use that to find approximately level ground. I load the app which always connects immediately for two years now, and we’ve never changed a battery. After just a few seconds, I’m leveling the camper to my perfect zero. I used a 6’ level in our cab-over with the mattress pulled out, zero’d in every direction, mounted the Beech Lane unit on the wall in one of the forward closets, zero’d per instructions, and it’s been perfect ever since.

I see people complaining about inches vs degrees, but it’s real-time, so zero is zero no matter how you measure the journey. If Pepe don’t want Zero, then set the units Zero where you want the it.

Overall a great, free app and device. My only gripe is having to change screens between NS/EW leveling. It looks as though they added the option now for both, so up to 5 stars from 4.

BTW, every Beech Lane product I’ve purchased has been top notch. Thank you.

Very happy

So far this thing works really well. I actually personally prefer that the app provides numeric adjustments needed versus angular adjustments. But I do agree that that should be an option.

The App does not tell you how level you are in terms of angular degrees making it less than useful.

Believe it or not, this unit does not tell you how level you are in terms of angular degrees!! This makes it very difficult to use. You have to use trigonometry to figure out what angle you’re at!!!! The RV refrigerator says it has to be within 3°. I never know if I’m anywhere near that. I still gave it two stars because it does give you some information, even if it hides the most important stuff from the user. There’s no good reason for this oversight in my opinion. One last problem, now that I’ve used it more times I realize there’s no security. Therefore all someone has to do is download the app and they can mess up all your settings, as often as they wish.

Freezes on iOS 18

App hasn’t been updated in over a year and has issues with freezing up on iOS 18

Useful app but expensive

I bought the Beech Lane rv leveler on Amazon and there was no mention that the app that is required to use it has a subscription, the subscription is pricy and I’m not sure I’m willing to pay roughly $120 a year for it ( that is 9.99 per month). The app did set up perfectly on my iPhone 14 and had no problems calibrating it. If the subscription fee was more like 9.99 a year although I wouldn’t really like it I would go ahead and pay it. I only use my camper 6 or 7 times a year the rest of the time it is just sitting at home and not moving. The cost of the app is why I gave it only 1 star otherwise it would probably been 5 stars.

Update. I was mistaken that there was a fee associated with the app there is no fee. It works and sets up easily on my iPhone 14 and it took maybe 15 minutes once I was sure my camper was level using a bubble level on the floor inside the camper. Once the camper was level it is just a matter of mounting the Beech Lane leveler and taking two measurements that you then input by way of the app. The instructions are very easy to follow and straight forward. It is a fantastic tool for getting a trailer or camper or just about any vehicle that needs to be level when stationary. Out of curiosity I walked about 150 feet away from my camper to see if the Bluetooth would still connect which it did but it was less accurate at that distance so it should be suitable for just about any vehicles that need to be level when stationary. I would highly recommend it to anyone but the iPhone SE does not work with the app , I will be trying it on an android phone soon since I am not the only one that would likely set the camper up when camping. It is a 5 star in my opinion.

It worked…once

Set up is pretty straightforward, and got the sensor to connect to my phone once. The app refuses to recognize the sensor. I have power cycled the sensor, turn Bluetooth off then on, rebooted my iPhone 15+ running iOS 17.6.1, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no success.

App screen designed too big for iPhone SE 3.0

I purchased this product from Amazon. I installed the app. I am unable to configure the app for use because the location of the device screen is too large for my iPhone SE 3.0 therefore, you cannot click the next button at the bottom of the screen because it can’t be seen.

Levels but freezes up

The app does do live leveling ok but I have to reset the app due to freezing if I’ve turned the screen off or went to another screen on my phone.

Not CarPlay compatible

This is a great app, the only thing that would make it better is if it was compatible with apple CarPlay. Then I could just bring it up on my infotainment screen to precheck my site levelness

Almost

Should really integrate with Apple Watch.

The app is not sized right for an iPhone.

I have an iPhone SE 2022. I can't read the app in the iPhone. It's too large. I can only get to the screen where I can select which way the logo is facing, but I can't scroll up or down or shrink the screen to get to the save or next button. I was forced to use my iPad to set this up and level the trailer. Once it was set up through the iPad, then I could connect to it through the iPhone once I switch the Bluetooth connections. Also, a great addition would be to make this app work with Carplay so I can see on my truck dashboard instead of my phone.
