I’ve been looking for an app like this that offers guided prayer and meditation and I’ve finally found it with Behold! Their prayers help provide enough structure to keep your mind from wandering but also enough space to allow you to have meaningful personal time with God. Really loving it!

Lovely app for meditation
The recordings for guided meditation are great - especially for someone like me, who is fairly new to the idea of meditating on Scripture and has trouble shutting out distractions and focusing. The app is also simple and easy to use - I appreciate the design.

Short invitations to listen to God
Behold is a unique app that emphasizes listening to God’s word and building in silence to develop meditation on the Scripture that was read. Each meditation is about 10 minutes long, which makes it a manageable amount of time to do one over a lunch break or in the evening. The repetition of the Scripture has helped me notice different words and phrases in a specific passage that I may not have otherwise. Ultimately, this app is a huge help in my desire to grow in my listening to God, and building in God’s word to my daily experience.

Peaceful, accesible, centering
Behold prayer has created a space where I can rest, find peace, and just listen to ancient, beautiful, and wise words. I love starting the day with meditative invitations to breathe and rest. The format of each recording is very calming and creates space to open my heart to listen and then receive whatever wisdom, images, or insight the words might provide. For anyone who wants to create space for scripture and prayer but isn’t sure how to start or is just looking for something new, this is a truly refreshing way to enjoy the word! I also love doing yoga while listening. Really wonderful, accesible format and great app!

Behold Prayer and the practice of meditation on scripture has had a profound impact on my sense of peace in a year or change, transition, and uncertainty. I love the way this app and the guided meditation helps me experience a heightened sense of Gods presence and voice. The beautiful audio recordings and reflection prompts help me process, and the experience of listening in silence has truly been a gift in the midst of a lot of noise from external consumeristic culture, and my own internal criticism.
