App Down for a Month
Following a security breach and hardly any real communication, the app has been down for a month. I hope my employer finds a better 401(k) provider in the near future as this is unacceptable. The utter lack of communication especially indicating whether or not my personal data is compromised and the timeline for coming back up should be investigated by state and federal regulators.

Non-Functional
I’ve had this app for several years, and it continues to crash immediately after launching and entering my user name and password. It was working for a while, but I just updated it from the App Store and now it crashes again. It would be nice if the app could use my Face ID for logging in if this is ever fixed. I have to log in through a PC for now.

No longer works
This app will no longer open. I’ve tried deleting it multiple times and reinstalling it. And it just opens to a white screen and nothing else.
Does not work
The old version worked great. The new one won’t even open. I tried installing it and deleting it twice. No luck.

App “update”?
The app forced an update upon logging in and now just takes me to a white screen when logging in. I’ve tried deleting the app and redownloading to the same result.
Worthless after update
With the current update the app is worthless. Once you log in to the app it shows nothing but a white screen. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling but the same behavior. Serious quality assurance testing is needed!!!

Immediately crashes upon login on iPhone 16 running 18.6.2 similar to all recent reviews. Still working on iPhone 13 with 18.6.2, however (app installed 10/2024). Web login working but UI doesn’t look great in mobile browser. Judging by recent reviews, this has been an issue for a very long time. Given that, I wonder what the plan is. App is useless at the moment.

APP KEEPS CRASHING
App crashes every time. Haven’t been able to log in for weeks. App shows up to date - still nada. What’s the deal!?!

App has consistently crashed during login for like 3 years. I don’t personally understand how that is even possible, especially for a banking app.

I can NEVER access the app I always have to go through the website you need to fix it so it is useable AT ALL. Please do one thing for the people either way money here…. Get a better app or fix it!
Horrible app doesn’t load
Horrible app. Constantly fails. Currently will not even load and says error. No one to call and frustrating as heck. Time to start over. The reviews are some of the worst in the financial industry applications. Currently trending below two stars. Just think out how bad you have to be to be below two starts with hundreds of reviews. Wow.

I can’t even log in app just crashes everytime .
Simply useless!
I was shocked to see such a low score but now know why. Used the app to login, Face ID worked until I got a prompt to update. Face ID no longer works, tried forgot password and not able to enter my user id (won’t accept numbers). Guess like the rest, will have to login via safari and not the app to view my account.

Horrendous app experience
This app is beyond awful, and it’s not just the app but their desktop version as well. Data and balance updates lag by a day or more. History is limited. The UX is unintuitive, and the UI is visually unappealing. What appears to be a common icon, like the refresh icon, does something completely unexpected in this app compared to every other app on the planet, while other icons do nothing (I.e. the dollar sign icon doesn’t do anything or provide information, just collapses the top of page bar). Transactions aren’t searchable. The projected retirement health is inaccurate since it doesn’t accurately pull in external fund data not allow a manual addition. There’s no ability to break down fund performance by the specific fund. There’s no simple distinction between traditional and Roth balances. Simple, intuitive, common trend and line charts don’t exist. The Category menu uses 1/8 of the page, with empty space below and the tiniest of frames on page to scroll to see 1-2 lines of info at a time, making it impossible to see holistic data for comparison. Rate of return is static to timeframes CUNA selects, with no customization where one might view specific timeframes, and it’s inconsistent; example: my inception date of 1/1/2014 shows a different rate of return than my YTD rate of return shown, making management of funds questionable. The option select transactions has such small font that it’s nearly impossible to tap the specific transaction type one would like to view. Statements are tiny PDF eye charts without an option to export. A hamburger menu on the right side of the screen does nothing and serves no purpose.
This app clearly has no design behind it or input from anyone who’s actually knowledgeable about retirement planning or the concerns of those trying to build retirement wealth. It’s dated, nearly unusable, and CUNA’s lack of modernization and infrequent updates is indicative they don’t care. It’s so bad that there’s zero chance I’d roll previous 401ks into this plan. Fidelity, Schwab, and so many others are light years ahead.
