The app is terrible now
At some point about 68 months ago, they redesigned the app. Now every single time you either link to a product or just go to a different screen and then come back to the app. It goes back to the main page and refreshes. So if you scroll down like 30 or 40 items for something and you click on it, but you forgot to go get the code for the discount when you come back to the app, you have to scroll all the way back down. Find it again then copy the code. Every single time you go back to the app it refreshes to the top of the home screen, and it is the most maddening behavior that never used to happen, but they have royally screwed it up and not fixed it. Ben’s used to be my go to deals app, now I almost never opened it anymore because it’s just so awful of a user experience. The website is fine, it’s just the app.

Regression: App reloads and loses place on resume
Something has changed in recent versions of this app. Previously, I could briefly leave Ben’s Bargains and return without losing my place. Now, every time the app goes to the background and is reopened, the entire deal list reloads and the scroll position is lost. This happens consistently, even after deleting and reinstalling the app, so it appears to be a behavior change rather than a local issue.
This makes browsing deals very frustrating, especially when switching apps momentarily. Please fix this by preserving scroll position or caching the deal list for a short time on resume. This would significantly improve usability. Is a fix planned?

Why too many screen reloading?
Each time you leave the apps and return, the app reloads the list, it’s annoying because the position resets to the top. Why? The app should not refresh or reload the list all the time. Please change it back to manual reload.
major user experience issue
okay, when you trying to go back to the main list after checked out a deal, the list will be refreshed and you have to start scroll down again to see where you were. the app was like 5 stars and now only worth 1 for user experience.

Crashes upon background
This app crashes and requires reloading whenever it is put in the background. If you click on any item in the app then want to go back it has to fully reload. That means you lose your place, even if you scrolled down many pages.
This has been going on for over 4 months but I was unable to post this review until now because I was running the iOS 18 betas. Now that I am running 18.2 non-beta I can again confirm the repeated crashes.

Guess it wasn’t enough Ben made money on referral clicks for the products in the app, then they go and throw banner ads into the app? Used to be decent but it’s clear Ben’s now only interested in a shameless money grab. Lame.

Crashes on search.
Scrolling on this app is fine. But anytime I try the search feature, the app crashes when hitting the magnifying glass to execute the search.
Search doesn’t work...
App shuts down when using the search feature. App Support feature is limited with no acknowledgment when addressing app issues.
App stopped working
I use the app a lot when not on my computer. Recently it closes out every time I try and open the app. The site is great for finding deals. Having an app is much easier than a browser on a phone/tablet. Hope a fix is coming soon.
App will not work with VPN
This app will not work with a VPN, it gives a server error. So if you want to use it you will have to turn off your VPN. Delete.
Good app with one problem
The tapping is so sensitive that it’s extremely easy to open up an item while you’re simply trying to scroll. Please increase the tap length to be more in line with most apps.
Worked well before. Crashing on iphone after update
This app worked well for a long time. However after an app update yesterday its crashing repeatedly. Deleted and re installed along with a iphone reboot. No solution. Please fix the app.

Can't comment on deals
I cannot comment on deals within the app. Right after you click on comment box keyboard appears then disappears while you type. This is a recurring problem that has not need fixed.
Major issue
Starts over from the beginning g after ty back out of look at a deal. This is annoying. Please fix so I can give 5 stars. Fixed
