About
Bento arranges your photos the way you'd fill a bento box: everything in its place, with room to breathe.
Start without opening the app: pick several photos in your library, tap Share, choose Bento. The board opens with your pictures already in place, ready to arrange.
— NEW: MAKIMONO
A long web page, a conversation, a recipe that never ends? Take a few screenshots as you scroll, share them to Bento, choose Makimono. They are sewn into one tall image, as if you had captured the whole page at once — the status bars and the overlaps gone, the seams invisible.
Pick a grid and drop your photos in, or work freeform and put them wherever you like. Add comic-style speech bubbles. Set the gutters, the corners, the background colour. Export at full resolution.
— COMPOSE
• Ten free grid layouts, for 1 to 4 photos
• 6- and 9-photo grids with Bento Plus
• Auto, square, 4:5, 9:16 and 16:9 formats
• Freeform mode: no grid, photos wherever you want them
• Two photos in one cell, stacked in the order you choose
• Speech bubbles, plates and frames, in any colour
— HANDLE
• Pinch to zoom into a photo, inside its own cell
• Drag to reframe: the photo stops at the edges, so no gap can appear
• Double tap a photo to crop it, the way Photos does — trim the bars off a screenshot, and the board fits it edge to edge
• Press and hold to move a photo to another cell
• The tools slide away while you work; double tap the board to bring them back
— KEEP
• Projects save themselves and wait for you
• Share from any app: Bento appears in the share sheet and takes your photos straight in
— BENTO PLUS
• Buy the author a coffee, once, for the amount you choose
• It unlocks the 6- and 9-photo grids, and what comes next
• No subscription: it is yours for good
— WHAT BENTO DOESN'T DO
• No account
• No ads
• No tracking, no analytics
• Your photos stay on your device — everything happens on the phone

What's New in Bento Board
1.0.1
October 24, 2026
• Makimono: share a few screenshots of a long page and Bento sews them into one tall image, seams and all invisible. • Crop: double tap a photo to crop it, the way Photos does. A row or a column of photos now fits each one edge to edge. • Swipe a project to the left to delete it, as in Mail. • Bento Plus: buy the author a coffee and unlock the 6- and 9-photo grids.
