Bought the book, downloaded the App, launched it and entered the code. Code invalid (apparently), so no go. Best stick to the traditional paper version.
Doesn’t work
Won’t accept the code for the French book I bought and give me a version in German instead. This appears to be a dead product
German app but I bought an Italian Phrase Book
This app is extremely disappointing and a frustrating. I bought this book because of the advertisement of a free app. False advertising!
No audio in Malay app!
Purchases Malay phrasebook with free app. Downloaded and installed but no audio- only words. Only purchased this brand over other options because I wanted the audio to practice while out walking etc. Previously purchased Vietnamese version and all worked fine with audio. Have sent emails today so will wait for reply before reviewing on Amazon. Not happy so far!

Waste of time
Terrible app. Layout and content are awful. I’ll be going back to other apps.
So disappointed…
Slower than just using Google translate and other free (and much more extensive) websites. Currency chart is from 2012 and fails to update. Berlioz used to be the gold standard- stunned by this terrible quality of this product.
Poor format
This is vastly inferior to the language CDs that Berlitz used to sell. I have to be looking at my screen and tapping for every phrase. Can’t use the app while driving or while multi-tasking.
Wrong Language
Bought the Danish phrase book but the code is for Korean? Okayyy

I bought a Portuguese phrase book that said it came with free app but the app only works with German!
Support, what support ?
I bought the phrase book in June and downloaded the app to my phone. I upgraded my phone with Apple last week and the purchase didn’t transfer across. I’ve emailed the Berlitz email address from their website and it fails to deliver. I’ve also emailed the support address in the app but get no response whatsoever from them. Truly appalling. The app itself is bland and would only be helpful in an absolute emergency. I’ll stick to the physical book in future. For such a well known brand, their lack of engagement is shocking

Crappy app
Book is decent but code (as many indicated ) is inactive. Defeats the purpose of buying the book if the extra support of a useful app isn’t there. Shame on you Berlitz. But a different guide book.
Code invalid
Like everyone else code doesn’t work which was the reason I bought that particular phrase book because I thought the app would be useful !!! Wish I’d bought one of the other books without false offers . Will return the book and won’t touch Berlioz in future !!
Barely usable
The app does not let me purchase phrasebook content. It only seems to allow you to enter a code, which apparently you would get with a Berlitz print phrasebook. I was hoping for a listing so that I could select the Nordic language pack. Nothing doing.
Anyway, the app is unusable with my iPhone 12 mini because the app hasn’t been updated to take account of the ‘notch’ design of the newer screens, meaning the ‘buttons’ at the top of the screen can’t be pressed.
Might be worth a look if these problems can be solved. But so far, I’m unimpressed.
Software isn’t easy – something businesses that aren’t traditionally IT-focused are struggling to come to terms with.

Bought a new book with a code, invalid code
I was excited to use the app alongside the phrase book and the code is not working. Cannot get a hold of customer support, does not support their own software. Books is good, company is struggling.
No App
I bought the Berlitz Italian book which referred to a “free app” and “free download code” . After downloading the app, however, there is no place to enter the activation code in the book.
Do not buy this garbage
Absolute garbage app. Basically a few lists of a few words that you have to click through one by one.
