The QR code is a issue once I entered the Devise ID code 010A and tapped OK the app remote works nice and quick

What QR seems to be an issue with Chinese built Christmas garbage

For what ever reason I can not get the QR Code to scan so I can not download the app. I also bought their Christmas tree so really want the app. Any suggestions?
