A Dating App with Full Potential
One feature I love is the ability to see a video of the person you’re interested in, not just static profile pictures. This eliminates the heavy use of filters that can often give a distorted sense of who someone really is. To me, that feature alone is monumental. It gives you a much better sense of the person, making interactions more genuine and meaningful.
On top of that, you can tell that the company is really putting in the effort. They’re very responsive to reviews and feedback, which shows they care about improving the app and addressing user concerns, instead of just ignoring them like some other platforms.
Overall, Better in Person is already better than many other apps out there, and I can see it becoming a go-to for people looking for real connections. I highly recommend keeping an eye on this app as it continues to grow!

Love app idea
Great design! Low population.
The concept is a really good idea; meeting in person and dating with the intention of an actual relationship. The execution so far has also been really well done. The setup experience is at least on par or even better than the big 3 dating apps and MUCH better than many of the less popular apps.
That being said, just after 1 swiping session I’ve already gotten through all of the profiles aged 21-28 in the Seattle area. I would guess that this app would do much better in one of the mega cities like NY, LA, or Miami but as of right now this app definitely suffers from a lack of users. Hopefully they advertise this app a bunch because I really enjoyed the experience I’ve had so far!

No matches in my area
No Ghosting ?
In any case I’ve gotten in touch with her and asked her if she is ready to meet, since that is what I expect from this app. And she has not gotten back to me. I am going to ask again now, after which, I expect her to ghost me. Because that’s what women on dating apps do. Ghost men.
You need to grow a pair and realized that something worth having sometimes requires, in fact *always requires* taking a risk. Women, if you won’t take that risk, you will always be alone.
Hilarious and unique customization
Not a great experience
I am hopeful for this dating app
Offensive
Horrible app
bait and switch
They have gorgeous tall actors and models advertising this app in person, on videos, on billboards, etc.
Yet no one I have ever seen on the app looks 1/10 as attractive. In fact, aesthetics aside, most of the people I see on the app look more socially awkward than the average person I would see on bumble or Tinder or hinge.
I was genuinely excited about this app because the advertising is fun and the app is exciting and new and I love the video idea. But it really has not panned out
Fun for free!

Seems ok but it doesn’t show anyone to me
Such nonsense
Edit: great condescending reply that discounts my review and fails to take responsibility for your hypocritical and inauthentic app design.

Not everyone appreciates our sense of humor, and that’s okay! We’ve found that about 80% of users enjoy the lighthearted approach to make onboarding less painful, 9% are indifferent, and 1% throw a temper tantrum—case in point. 😊
No Traction / No Refund
UPDATE - Your response is an outright lie!! I never contacted you directly. I contacted Apple who informed me you denied the refund. You NEVER offered anything and I have the screenshots of when I contacted Apple. Sounds like maybe you need to get your act together. If your canned responses here are lies, then I wonder how well your developers are doing. Sad. Very sad!

Jake, this is inaccurate. We offered you a full refund and even provided a free year of premium on top of that. You contacted us Friday night, mentioning that you "like the concept and humor," and we responded by Saturday morning, addressing your issue promptly.
Love the structure of this app
