A Dating App with Full Potential
I am currently trying Better in Person, and while it’s still a very new app with a smaller user base, I believe it has incredible potential. What sets it apart from more popular dating apps is its focus on authenticity, which is something the dating world desperately needs.
One feature I love is the ability to see a video of the person you’re interested in, not just static profile pictures. This eliminates the heavy use of filters that can often give a distorted sense of who someone really is. To me, that feature alone is monumental. It gives you a much better sense of the person, making interactions more genuine and meaningful.
On top of that, you can tell that the company is really putting in the effort. They’re very responsive to reviews and feedback, which shows they care about improving the app and addressing user concerns, instead of just ignoring them like some other platforms.
Overall, Better in Person is already better than many other apps out there, and I can see it becoming a go-to for people looking for real connections. I highly recommend keeping an eye on this app as it continues to grow!

So far so good. I originally thought it was going to be horrible but I love how it shows you a five second videos. Tells you where they love what they do. I’m really impressed. I hope I’m not jinxing it but for now it’s great.
Love app idea
I love the idea of this app there just a few thing I don’t like that’s why ima only give it a 3star 1 being I run out of people when swiping and not many potential matches also I like the fact that you can see who liked you with out paying
Great design! Low population.
Very recently downloaded Better In Person and love the design of this app. It’s profile setup puns are really quippy and made me smile. I also REALLY love the AI profile recommendations. Creating a profile is very easy and actually pretty fun reading what it generates.
The concept is a really good idea; meeting in person and dating with the intention of an actual relationship. The execution so far has also been really well done. The setup experience is at least on par or even better than the big 3 dating apps and MUCH better than many of the less popular apps.
That being said, just after 1 swiping session I’ve already gotten through all of the profiles aged 21-28 in the Seattle area. I would guess that this app would do much better in one of the mega cities like NY, LA, or Miami but as of right now this app definitely suffers from a lack of users. Hopefully they advertise this app a bunch because I really enjoyed the experience I’ve had so far!

I mean the one positive I can say about this app is I am not getting hounded 12 times to buy premium everytime I log in. That being said, it’s empty. I haven’t had a single suggestion for a person to meet in weeks. And I think I’ve seen 3 profiles total. Wondering if their verification system is too out of wack to actually have people join and not just give up.

No matches in my area
I love the idea and concept of this app, I also love how it sets up your profile. I have it a four star because it’s very limited to people in my area. I couldn’t find anyone in my area.
No Ghosting ?
App failed to set up a date for the woman I matched with because she’s “in another city“. In reality, we live very close together, we are separated by just a couple miles, so that excuse is hardly a good one.
In any case I’ve gotten in touch with her and asked her if she is ready to meet, since that is what I expect from this app. And she has not gotten back to me. I am going to ask again now, after which, I expect her to ghost me. Because that’s what women on dating apps do. Ghost men.

Hilarious and unique customization
Even if I don’t get a date, this app is an improvement on overall dating apps.
Not a great experience
This app is not the best for people with standards. After about a day it said that I had to adjust my filters to see other people because it ran out of people and it says that new people join daily it’s been three weeks and it still says there’s nobody in my area that fits my standards I also had a date but we had to plan it ourselves the app didn’t like it’s supposed to do. I don’t know about this app. I’ve had better luck on others than this one.

When signing up for this website, it asked you what you’re looking for long-term casual or just trying to not get murdered. This is so offensive. You’re making fun of women that get raped murdered men doing this. You need to take that off. I’m gonna expose you on Better Business Bureau Facebook please remove that phrase.

I shouldn’t have to record a video to use this app this is so stupid and a waste of time who ever made this app should remove making a video mandatory and give you the option of if you want to make a video and where ever you put it won’t give you anyone near you don’t download unless if you want to waste your time

bait and switch
For an app that espouses authenticity and weeds out dishonesty, their advertising is pretty paradoxical.
They have gorgeous tall actors and models advertising this app in person, on videos, on billboards, etc.
Yet no one I have ever seen on the app looks 1/10 as attractive. In fact, aesthetics aside, most of the people I see on the app look more socially awkward than the average person I would see on bumble or Tinder or hinge.
I was genuinely excited about this app because the advertising is fun and the app is exciting and new and I love the video idea. But it really has not panned out

I love that this app does not require any money to start. I’ve met some beautiful women on here and I look forward to finding someone special.

You see how they cared on the app and it has specific goals 👍🏽 Maybe logo can be one which describes what people are looking for, it stopped me to not register for two weeks just because of logo. App itself us the best 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Such nonsense
Every step of the onboarding process is cringe and full of ridiculous perspectives. Like one of the options for dating preferences is trying not to get murdered. Who thinks that way, it’s just gross and so delusional. I slowly got more and more annoyed as I got closer to the end, but the Ai written bios really sealed the deal. Having an algorithm write your bio is as inauthentic as you can get. I swiped a few profiles and it was pretty weird just reading a robot’s interpretation of each person. Then I deleted it. Great waste of time.

No Traction / No Refund
Downloaded and purchased premium as they only showed a few profiles within 100 miles of me. After a week, I saw less than 50 people in my feed. Keep in mind I live in Los Angeles and can swipe endlessly on other apps. Requested refund as they forced premium to see more profiles (the non existent ones). Denied. This will be one of many online reviews. Need a better business Mindel. Do better!
UPDATE - Your response is an outright lie!! I never contacted you directly. I contacted Apple who informed me you denied the refund. You NEVER offered anything and I have the screenshots of when I contacted Apple. Sounds like maybe you need to get your act together. If your canned responses here are lies, then I wonder how well your developers are doing. Sad. Very sad!

Love the structure of this app
This app has the potential to out shine all of the current dating apps out there. You can see people for who they are on video and also sort through other characteristics or traits that you’re looking for from others. I’m excited to see what the future holds for this app.
