Terrible
This is so bad I can’t believe they still offer it. This app does nothing other than allow your input and then recommend to you what schedule you should water. And even that recommendation is way off base. With how bad this one is, I wouldn’t think of purchasing one. Oh- and it doesn’t allow you to control your times from your phone, just in case anyone was wondering.

This free APP is a scam
There is almost NOTHING in this APP. You can’t even set your zone times. It’s offering this is a scam that allows them to say the B-Hyve comes with a “free” APP. But if you actually want something useful, you have to pay $10 for the pro APP. Shame on you Orbit, just another typical modern day company deploying scams to get another buck from unsuspecting customers.

So bad it’s I’m embarrassed for the employees
This app does NOT actually allow you to control your watering timer. It’s an automatic “we’ll decide for you” type of thing. Well, I DON’T WANT B-Hyve TO DECIDE THE SCHEDULE, I wan’t to schedule the waterings myself. This is false advertising on their product / product packaging.. saying that you can “Set, operate and optimize” but in reality, you can’t even manually turn it on within the app. How terrible. A simple dumb timer would be better than this $70 unusable junk. I’m guessing this is their way of tricking people into buying their $10 app. This should be reported to the FTC. Shame on you Orbit from North Salt Lake.

I had an earlier b-hyve that finally gave out. This new one is horrible.
1. I could not get the app on my iPhone 13
unless I got it in search each time I needed

wi-fi. I have multiple devices that have no

3. Gave up and proceeded to set up zones.
I COULD NOT GET IT PAST ZONE 1
I’ll give tech help tomorrow again.
Oh, one more item, the first one I got at Home
Depot today 1/31/2022, the zone wire screws were so tight you couldn’t loosen them. Got a replacement and the screws were half straight
And half Phillips screws. Where does it end

Worthless
Like everyone is saying in the reviews the app is worthless.
Beyond Worthless
I’ve never written an app review in my life but this thing is beyond worthless. I set all 6 stations info and it only scheduled 1. I couldn’t override, re-schedule, or make any changes that brought the other 5 stations to show schedules. Worse than that, the 1 it did show gave a ridiculous recommendation of 18 minutes 2x day for 3 days a week. That’s about 6 times more than it needs. Apple should remove this app and Orbit should be ashamed of themselves. Awful does not begin to describe it.

Ditto other complaints. Will not save data you entered. You can’t override their recommendations for lawn watering even thou YOU know your lawn and sprinklers better than some goober in a windowless office somewhere. DONT BOTHER. USE THEIR TIMER AS AN OLD TIMEY DUMB BOX AND DONT USE REMOTE ACCESS.

I entered similar info for my only two zones (before realizing I didn’t really need to :D), but the app suggested different watering times for them!
Happy to provide the info I entered to help fix this.
And please fix the links to your “HowTo” pages (determine soil type and turf type). Thankfully, it was still possible to find the info because the “bad link” page contains a search box which actually works (type in “soil type”, for example).
I think the idea behind the app is very good. Please dedicate eng resources to bring up the quality.

I have entered all the info for 4 stations and it only schedules 2. I have gone back into setting many times and successfully entered in the information for the last 2 zones but I still only get 2 zone schedules. This seems to be the biggest complaint in all of the reviews. Can we get some help or an app update?

Waste of time
I too spent a lot of time entering all my data into the program schedule; Soil type, grass type etc. on a 12 station program; only to discover the App only provided 2 me with the data for 2 stations. Weird.
Recommendation for only one station :(
Useless. Someone at Orbit should be fired for this piece of crap. It has ruined their reputation in my opinion. Do they not have a QA/QC dept? I spent a lot of time entering info about my 4 station system, but when I was done, it only displayed a schedule for the first station. Very disappointing. Shame on you, Orbit. Putting out a crappy free product won’t get people to buy another version. Actuallly quite the opposite. I won’t buy their products any time soon.

Doesn’t provide recommendation
I input all data. It doesn’t do anything, except record data. All I wanted was a recommendation on how long and when to water, which btw I didn’t need an app for. Just put it on the website. 😡
