App has a long way to go
Purchased a one week subscription to test out the validity of claims that this app could assess a book’s value based on spine visuals alone. Malarkey. It cannot distinguish fine press, leather bound editions, first editions, or any of the other hallmarks of true book valuation that a barcode, copyright page, and a true book dealer could provide. Not really even useful for simple shelf scans. Tried it with a few different shelves in my library and every time the app was a dud. It’s asking too much of AI to expect this level of pricing sophistication with so little information. It might get better over time. But, at least for now, nothing will replace a person’s cultivated knowledge of books and how to track down estimate values based on multiple variables.

Hello, it is clearly stated that our app does not work on old books with leather bindings.

Bonjour vous pouvez prendre un abonnement, cela vous crédite les jetons, et vous annulez derrière l'abonnement et comme ca vous n'êtes pas débité chaque mois
Good idea but needs work
This would be a very useful tool, but like the other review states, it fails to differentiate between hardcover and paperback, or generally which edition any particular book is when image scanning. It also appears only to search Amazon listings for prices (for US users at least), and it sometimes gets the book wrong completely. It only gives you a few free scan credits before you need to pay for a plan, so you can only do minimal testing of its ability. And the results were not worth paying for a subscription. But I do hope they improve functionality.
