Far too cumbersome

Having been used to “Lane Breach” and “Solve SF” which use AI to automatically submit to our city’s 311 app, this is a huge step backwards.

Cyclists need the ability to point and click, and have the data go to the city where it can be seen by the relevant departments (SF311 for me). It is a shame that the app asks for so much manual data entry AND doesn’t automatically submit a report to 311.

I am grateful for the mission, but this just doesn’t work for me. No wonder the data set is so much more limited than app.lanebreach.org.

Please don’t give up! But this product needs some upgrades! I wish I had the tech skills to volunteer myself, but maybe an intern can vibe code some improvements?

Just redirects you to browser pages

Not a great app in my opinion, clicking any of the map options just opens a browser page on your phone outside the app. Might as well just make a bookmark and delete the app. Mayne I’m missing something but not very useful as is.

Great app

This is a great bike advocacy group and lets me productively do something about bike obstructions by reporting them rather than just getting angry

Annoying onboarding

Too many questions to create an account. Login credential fields don’t work with my password manager.

Great idea for fixing transit

Would love to see reports of action taken, company and city responses to repeat problem areas.

A few app recommendations:
-allow quick picks for license state, or recently used category.
-fix delay in location pin placement (iOS). This process is frustratingly error prone.
-allow photo capture in app.

Thank you!

Steals your IP

This app claims any photo you submit as their intellectual property and then their only source of income is suing people who use pics uploaded to here. I suggest y’all don’t use this app.

Can’t upload photos

On my phone if I take photos and try to report an incident later and upload the photos I took it won’t let me. Kind of disappointing, I’m taking photos of these moments and the app won’t let me upload them for evidence…

Easiest App Ever

For bike lane advocacy, the best thing to have is data to support your discussions with officials. Data about where crashes happen, where obstructions happen, and where obstacles make biking difficult.

This app makes submitting to the Bike Lane Uprising database exponentially easier than via PC, and will even pinpoint location for your submission if you have your location turned on.

Overall very helpful app for data gathering and even a bit of catharsis!

Great app and an important issue

This app allows all of us bring awareness to bike infrastructure. It gives the average person a way to help advocate for change in our cities.

Better than any city app out there

BLU app is amazing. Makes it brain-dead simple to submit offenders of bike lanes.

Cathartic and easy to use

Feels great to help aggregate bike lane violations. I’m not a confrontational person and being able to upload my photos somewhere meaningful helps deal with the risks to my life I encounter daily

Critical to Safe Streets

I use this app constantly and it provides a vital reporting mechanism for bike lane obstructions. It’s stable, easy to use, and made to help track obstructions for safe cycling. Great work!!

After recent update, good app becomes great!

New functionality to use photo meta data to update fields much appreciated. Makes it much quicker to report.

Some recommendations for future improvement:
- most people bike regularly in one city, allow us to set a default city
- expand app to include reporting dangerous places to cycle

Great app

Great for reporting blocked bike lanes and hazards for cyclists.

Love it

Easy to share bike lane obstructions!

Great app, it makes it easy so submit bike lane blocking reports

Safety first

I love this app! There no bike apps out there that helps report blocked bike lanes to a live database. Very easy to use. The live databases are available in many cities as well!
