Basic foods without a barcode 1216 foods now ship with the app: fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, dairy, staples. They carry the vitamins and minerals that branded products almost never list. The numbers come from the Swiss Food Composition Database of the BLV and sit inside the app - nothing goes over the network for them. Search understands German Plurals and compound words: "Champignons" finds the mushroom, "Magerquark" the low-fat quark, "Hähnchenbrust" the chicken breast. And two words find something again — "Milka Alpenmilch" used to return an empty list. Every nutrient of the day A link under the macros opens the whole day: 36 values, each against its daily reference. Vitamins and minerals against the EU reference intakes, sugar, saturated fat and salt against the reference intakes, fibre after the DGE. What a source does not know stays a dash instead of counting as zero. Counted correctly Apple Health hands values back in the device's own unit, kilojoules instead of kilocalories or grams instead of milligrams. Bilanz converts them now instead of taking the bare number.
