These developers don’t tell you that this app requires a specific $60 adapter and is not compatible with the adapters that are compatible with their other apps.
Since they sell their license outside of the Apple App Store they will refuse to refund when you’re not able to get the app to work like they claim.
They are clever enough to require PayPal to prevent the consumer from being able to reverse their $109 payment.
Use caution.

Horrible
App crashes, doesn’t even code my brand new m3, and they refuse to refund. They told me to pound sand. Horrible company. Scammers.
Complete Garbage
Don’t waste your hard earned money or any of your precious time trying to make this app read your FA. And since it HAS to read the VA in order to connect and allow any coding/flashing, I can’t do anything with it at all. Even after purchasing BU ENET ADAPTER with Ethernet Cable. I’ve tried reaching out several times to these folks and I never get any response at all. So now I’m stuck with this dumpster fire. Just my two-cents.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Absolutely no Customer Service the app doesn’t work unless you have one specific connector which does not state in the app anywhere. Do not waste your money if you want something that works buy the BimmerCode app. Works great and the customer service is helpful and responsive and works with multiple obd scanners.

A lot of features, more powerful than alternatives, but poor documentation
The Pros:
-You can change far more options than competing iOS tools.
- VO editing!!
-Once you figure it out the back up, compare, and offline tools are very good.
The Cons:
- Desperately needs good documentation and tutorials. I mean, there is basically nothing, which is a little unnerving when fiddling with the inner workings of your car
- Non-expert mode short cuts are fairly limited. Competing products are better.
- Can’t create your own cheat codes on mobile
-App slow to receive updates
-No bit level editor
Bottomline, if you’re a novice, steer away from this or be very cautious at first. Back everything up!!!

Will Not Write Custom Values
BimmerUtility is excellent software but for the iOS version, in Expert Mode, it has a limitation that significantly negates its usefulness. It will not save custom values. This problem applies to all ECUs. The values can be changed and even appear to be changed and initially saved, but the revised custom values are not saved. I corresponded with BimmerUtility. They acknowledged this problem and indicated a revision to the iOS version would eventually be released fixing it but they refused to give any indication at all when this would happen. For my needs, this software is mostly useless until they fix a problem it is advertised to do and even appears to do. Refusing to provide any indication of their scheduled release with a fix makes me very skeptical it will happen at all. Very disappointed with an otherwise potentially excellent product that has, so far, provided only minimal usefulness to me.

Rubbish software - Don’t buy this
Read that this software was meant to be good on forums, load of rubbish, no documentation and support is appalling. Raised a case via PayPal to get my money back as seller doesn’t want to refund. DO NOT WASTE $100 on this rubbish software, much better alternatives available with much better support and documentation.
Seller Rob Hebb has since blocked my licence code so unable to use the software, keeping my money in the process which is fraud.

App constantly crashes
You can’t make a backup of anything because the app crashes so frequently. Every time you back up a module it crashes. Best part is the key I purchased doesn’t work anymore.
Forces $109 external purchase, doesn’t work on iX
This app requires a $109 purchase from the developer website (not In-App Purchase) to use, which is then locked to one device only.
It connected to my iX successfully and offered more functionality if I purchased an unlock code. I did, and it crashes.
Developer did issue a refund after some pressing, but warning: this will not work on some new BMW models, and there’s no way to know that in the app until after purchase.

Couldn’t read a vin number with V-Gate WiFi adapter

I pay and I didn’t receive nothing, I couldn’t even get a registration code, I payed by bank and they didn’t care, I sent a mail and they didn’t give solution

There are pros and cons. I would say there more pros with bimmer utility than BimmerCode

Bought the licensing and the adapter only for it not to work. I reached out via email and I was told that I have to wait for the newest update whenever that is

Cannot fault this app from BU fast in all aspects very very helpful with coding,dtc errors any too many to mention.
Communication with Rob is excellent always responds and helps with any problems no matter how trivial.
Connection is fast with the e-net cable and being able to have the app on iPhone and ipad is helpful.
Well worth the cost bought I’m in the UK priced in $,s depending on the exchange rate well worth the £,s.
