Biodynamic Gardening Calendar User Reviews

A very useful app

We have a small orchard that we have planted over the last few years, always using this as a guide, with great success; we will be renewing this app annually as it is such a help.

Not enough info

Cant find what you need when you need it

Can’t see the month ahead

I’ve used the printed calendar for a couple of years and subscribed to this thinking it would show the same data. It promises to help me plan, so how do I see the month ahead in table form? I can only see how to plan my week by scrolling through from day to day - surely there is a full table somewhere?

Pricey

Can’t see any value in this app. Needs moon constellation to be of any use. Also unclear if works for S hemisphere as cannot change location.

Long term user

This app was easier to use and gave far more info at a glance before it was “improved”. I’m thinking of moving back to paper version from next year

Disappointed

After getting the app I found that I can learn much more from YouTube. As soon as you download the app you can’t see anything unless you agree to a subscription. Not a good practice to hide your fees.

Love the app

Unfortunately I didn’t experience the first app. So I really don’t know what I’m missing. But just the same this app is very helpful in planning your BD activities. Better than having to go back and forth to the physical Maria Thun calendar. Nice to have it in your back pocket.

Superficial

Hideous app. Bring back the hard copy from Mathias Thun.

Unless you pay it’s no good

You can’t really get anything from it unless you pay. It didn’t seem to change for Southern Hemisphere and I couldn’t find anywhere do it.

A few glitches but customer service was excellent and issue resolved

Was really pleased to find this helpful looking app and thought £6 was a reasonable price for the convenience. Signed up and paid. After the 30 day ‘free trial’ all forward planning data disappeared. I got in contact with the provider and they were brilliant, looked into the problem and put out a new version. Downloaded it today and looks great.
Thank you!

Bring Back the Old App!

Bring back the Interface of the old App! Why did you change it? The other version was sooooo much easier to see the information. At a glance I could see if it was Transplanting time. Now I have scroll down open the drop down and see if it is that time of the month. Also now the times are so hard to read. The circle was perfect, at a glance I could see what I could do that day. Now you guys make me think too much. You guys have definitely gone backwards. Why fix what is not broken!

Terrible.

Wants £5.99 subscription to give you any information at all. At least the old one gave you information for that day without you having to subscribe.

rip off

this app is a total rip off
if you want any info have to pay which they don’t tell you when you download the app
unless i am doing something wrong!

Big changes from old app

But why? No longer can you see at a glance the transplanting times (signifying lunar activity). Yes you can filter for it but at the expense of everything else. The coloured dot system is not nearly as clear as to what a particular day or week may hold. It seems that nothing has been added to improve the app. No extra information on planetary aspects or moon phases. The filter system sort of works but there doesn’t really appear to be a need for it IMHO. Last year I found it a useful pocket companion to the Maria Thun calendar but it is now more expensive and less user friendly. Also forcing the user to opt in by making it useless without signing up is bad etiquette. I’m opting out.

Unfortunately, less helpful than previous version this replaced

The Maria Thun Biodynamic Calendar of previous years offered far more interactive and helpful information with greater clarity than this current version, which seems to be entirely dumbed down. The loss of the daily activity time dial, and the clear distinctions on both the daily and weekly views is unfortunate. The little dots under the date, and the vague start times require more thought and examination, when I was used to being able to quickly take a glance when planning the day’s activities.
Please return to the previous version.
