A bird I couldn’t see was making an enormous loud fuss by the river. I thought I would trial the app to identify it. There were 2 mallard quacks as well. The app alighted on the mallard and ignored the loud and persistent call I was trying to identify.

A friend recommended this app to me. He demonstrated it capturing birdsong and identifying the different species. Very clever.
Beginner to Bird Watching
I am a beginner just trying to get into bird watching. I love bird song and observing nature. This app is wonderful, I can take pictures of birds or an audio recording of bird song and it will analyze and tell me what bird it is. I find that it has been correct every time so far. It tells you all about the species and it also includes a cool bird of the day part! If you’re a nature lover, looking to get into bird watching, or just simply curious to learn more about birds this is a great app for that! It has become apart of my daily life. I enjoy my morning lemon water while journaling and learning about the bird songs I can hear.

Great app
Super cool app. One of the few I am willing to pay for. I use it for birds around home, on vacation, when I visit family and friends, or even in a parking lot at the doctor’s office. It can’t discern overlapping bird sounds or ignore background noises like trains, planes, or cars. So make your recordings when there are no other noises.

This app does not have any self-serve options to cancel. It causes me to not trust this app with my information. It’s 2026., there should be no difficulty for a person to self-serve to cancel a membership. The app itself doesn’t work where I live because the traffic is too noisy.
