not useful waste of money
One star is being very generous -
unlike other recognition bird song apps, you must first record your bird, and then I guess play it back and then supposedly you were told what it is- but searching their database there are many birds in the USA, which are not listed in the bird app for instance American bitterns under tanagers there are none listed Western Scarlet, etc. there are no sparrows listed outside of a house sparrow. There are no warblers at all. I guess US doesn’t have any - in any case without any instructions or info, it’s an absolute waste of money don’t bother

Wonderful app
I love this app! Great variety of birds and bird songs/calls! Easy to use!
A learning tool
I recently lost most of my eyesight. I knew all the birds by sight, but I can’t see them any more. This app is helping me learn them by sound and I can put my remembered “picture” with the newly learned sound, and I’m back to being in touch with the outdoors.
No longer works
I loved this app but after a couple of updates on my Apple phone it no longer works.. what happened?
terrible app
The song record does not work. It keep saying the app cannot use the mic. Also the app skin is awful. You don’t see if you pushed a button. The app looks like it was from the 2nd generation iphone. There are much better apps for song recognition for free, such as Merlin.
Disappointing
Recording fitful and no recognition. Was expecting equivalent in USA to Chirpomatic App in UK
Out of business?
Since upgrading to iPhone 14, when trying to record bird calls, a message says not able to record with this device. I attempted to reach the developer. The link leads nowhere.
Good app to have
This little app doesn’t take much room on my iPhone 10, and has a lot of data. We live near Tampa bay & have id’d All the wading birds & the big flocks of robins here now. Thanks!

Deleting
I tried to use this app several times over the years to record and identify birds. I never did get it to work. I guess the problem was background noise. I did enjoy the sample songs and calls, however, and the beautiful pictures of birds. However I’m deleting this one today and I’m going to try another. Sorry.

Not Working
I want my money back this app is unusable to identify bird songs. Can’t even see how to record a song. The free apps I have are better.

The ask for review should come after you try the app, not after you first open it.

Terrible menus
I doubt the programmers that designed the user interface ever actually used the app for bird id in the field. Ridiculous.
Help on the bird walks
I take my iPhone on my birding walks and having this app is so helpful. I can identify a bird in the moment and not have to carry a heavy field guide.
Great Song ID App
This is a great app to help ID bird songs. You can record the song and have it ID the bird or you can play the birds songs/call. Only thing I am worried about is the app hasn’t been updated in over a year. So have the developers left the app or is the app that good it doesn’t need updating?
