This app is a lifesaver
I came to Canada when my baby was two months old, and I had to start my PhD immediately. The daycare waitlists took years to get a spot, and I came across Birdie after searching. I love everything about it! I loved that they did not just match me with someone; the sitter would offer, and we would go through their profile and choose the one I felt most comfortable with; it was reassuring that they were reliable and went through background checks and training. Another amazing feature is that I could book a setter for the whole semester without worrying about this every time. I booked several babysitting sessions with different setters; they all were fantastic and loving. As much as I felt awful leaving my son, as much as I felt great seeing that he was loved and taken care of. I was checking now and then using my baby cam, and every time I saw them hugging him, playing with him, and making him laugh, as a mother, nothing feels better than this! Whoever came up with the idea of this app is a genius and a lifesaver. I dont know how I could've gone through my PhD without Birdie.

Been using for year - amazing!!
We have been using Birdie Break for a few years now and I cannot express how much we love it! The sitters that we have uses have all been amazing with our two boys, helpful around the house and so kind and flexible. My youngest has Cerebral Palsy, and I was very hesitant to find someone who I could trust to watch him. Having the option to choose a sitter, and build the relationships you do with them has made the process easier and I have been able to take those breaks with ease. Admin is quick to help whenever I have a concern or questions - they even helped find us a sitter last minute when the original one I booked had to cancel last minute. Highly recommend!

Great service!
We have been using the app for a couple years now and have met several great and reliable babysitters who we continue to book through the app. The ease of payment and booking is great. I’ve had great experiences with the customer service when necessary (not often) as well. Highly recommend!
Dont Interview or Email Back
When signing up to be a sitter the wait time is approximately a week to hear back with an interview. Its been a month since sign up and i have contacted support 2-3 times with zero response. If your looking to start your babysitting journey, dont expect anything from here.
Unreliable, avoid!
Babysitter bailed without notifying us just hours before the booking. Had to find out by actively searching to contact her through the Birdie organization. Unreliable, avoid!
Glitch in app
Won’t let me create a password even though I am following the guidelines.
Password Won’t Accept
Trying to sign up, but password guidelines when followed still show the right types characters aren’t used.
Best Babysitter App
I’ve been using this app for almost a year now. It has been the best choice! I’m not the one to trust my kids with just anyone and in fact this is the only place i’ve ever hired a nanny from. That is because of how comfortable it made me feel when i first found out about it. Knowing every nanny goes thru background checks, knows how to do CPR, etc.. & it is very easy to use! Also if there’s ever an issue or question I have, customer service is very quick to respond (usually the same day). I highly recommend this app!

Awesome babysitting service
We have been using Birdie for a couple of years now and we’ve had great experiences with them. The sitters have been awesome. Always on time, polite and some have gone above and beyond and will bring arts and crafts for our kids to do. Contacting for support or questions has always been easy and I get an email reply quickly. Using the app is straightforward and simple. I have absolutely recommended the app to other friends and have a few who use it regularly now also. Awesome idea Birdie Break! 👍🏻

Birdie sitters are the only babysitters I trust with my little ones! I love that they do all the vetting for you to ensure you get sitters who are safe, reliable, trusted people. We’ve used Birdie Break for about 6 months now. Every single babysitter has been kind, warm, caring and gentle with our little ones. very convenient!
I’ve used this service a lot. The babysitters were great, and I love the convenience of the app. I loved being able to have someone come over for the gap between me and my husbands work schedule. The babysitters we’ve used from this app were all reliable, knowledgeable, and my children loved them. Anytime I’ve reached out to birdie break via email I received a very timely response. The only downside to the app is the sitters are very expensive, usually running from 25-30$ an hour

Horrible
This app is very bad, I tried to use it but there was a stupid glitch. definitely one star if i could. i tried signing up for the app, but there was a dumb glitch where it told me that my password that i entered didn’t include an upper case character, a lower case character, a number or a symbol. So stupid. because my password had every single one of those things AND it was over 8 characters. ridiculous. get this checked asap because all i wanted to do was sign up but there was a stupid gltich. do NOT get this app.

Booking disappeared with zero notification
Did Mia cancel? Did the app glitch? I’ll never know. One day my booking was there, I texted with the booked sitter, night of the gig I look back and “no bookings” greets me on the home screen. What? What a horrible experience.

I have been so impressed with the quality of the candidates on this app and the ease with which I am now able to find dependable and highly qualified childcare providers. We use the app regularly and have found a few regular babysitters whom my children love. It’s a win win. Highly recommend!
Trip to Vancouver
What a great service. So perfect for our trip to Vancouver when kids weren’t allowed on the yacht. Birdie pulled through with multiple options for our sitter needs.
