Bit by Bit Golf

Golf GPS in glorious 8-bit. Bit by Bit turns every hole into a pixel-art map built from real survey data: greens, fairways, bunkers and water from OpenStreetMap, and every tree measured from USGS lidar. Then it helps you get better, bit by bit. ON THE COURSE • Front, middle and back distances to the green, plus carries to every bunker and water hazard. • Plays-like distance* that accounts for uphill and downhill shots and the wind. • A caddy hint and dispersion oval* sized to the club, so you can see where a shot is likely to finish. • Pinch, pan and press-and-hold anywhere on the map to measure. • Tournament mode switches off the help the Rules don't allow in competition. ON YOUR APPLE WATCH • Play a whole round from your wrist on the watch's own GPS; the phone can stay in the bag. • Raise your wrist for the map, lower it and the distances get big. • Automatic shot tracking*: swing, walk on, and the watch logs the shot where you hit it and asks which club. Practice swings don't count. • Knows when you've finished a hole: putt out and walk to the next tee and it moves on. Picked up to keep pace? Just put in what you took. • Saves your round as a golf workout in Apple Health. AFTER THE ROUND • Your score, putts and a recap of every hole. • Strokes gained on every shot*, split into off the tee, approach, around the green and putting, compared with golfers at your handicap or with scratch. • Your real club distances, learned from the shots you track. • A handicap index estimate from your best 8 of your last 20 rounds (World Handicap System method). • A trophy room: birdies, bogey-free rounds, personal bests, milestones and more. TRAIN • A tempo trainer with Tour-style 3:1 and 2:1 tones and an 8-bit golfer swinging to the beat. • Short game and putting tempos, and your real backswing and downswing timed by your watch*. FREE, WITH BIT BY BIT PRO GPS distances and hazards, the 8-bit maps, scoring and recaps, your round's strokes gained total, the handicap estimate, awards, the trophy room, full-swing tempo and the watch distances are free, with no ads. * Bit by Bit Pro adds plays-like and slope, the caddy hint and aim oval, tee shot planning, full strokes gained, automatic shot tracking, every tempo drill and shot patterns.
