About

Q-Golf keeps track of your round so you don't have to. Put your iPhone in a front trouser pocket, start a round, and play. The app uses GPS and the phone's motion sensors to work out where each shot was played from, and at the end you have every hole on a map with the club and distance for each shot. No detection is right every time, so everything can be corrected afterwards. Add a shot it missed, move one, change the club, or mark it as topped or chunked. The app never interrupts your round to ask whether you just hit a shot. ON THE COURSE • Distances to the front, centre and back of the green • Shots, chips and putts logged for you, or by hand with one tap • Weather and wind for where you are standing • Keeps recording with the screen locked AFTER THE ROUND • Scorecard and key numbers for the round • Every hole on a satellite map, green at the top, each shot labelled with club and distance • Strokes gained off the tee, on approach, around the green and putting • Mark what each shot was played from: fairway, rough or sand OVER A SEASON • A Q-Golf handicap based on your recent rounds • The parts of your game that cost you the most strokes, in order • Greens in regulation, fairways hit, up and downs, putts and penalties • Shot dispersion by club COURSES • Import a course from OpenStreetMap by name or by where you are • Map holes yourself on satellite imagery if your course is not there yet • Edit tees, greens and hazards whenever you like YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE There is no account and no sign-up. Rounds, shots and courses are stored on your iPhone only. No ads, no tracking. The Q-Golf handicap and strokes gained figures are estimates for your own practice and are not an official handicap index. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Course data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
