About
You’re hungry. You don’t want to scroll fifty restaurant cards. You want someone to just tell you where to eat — and why.
Bitest is an iOS app that picks one restaurant for you. Just one. With a real reason.
It reads what you actually want — the time of day, the weather, your usual budget, the cuisines you keep coming back to, and the dishes you type in plain English. Then it picks one place and explains itself in a friend-voice sentence you’d actually want to read.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Tell Bitest what you’re in the mood for. Tap “Quick & easy” or “Something special” — or just type what you want (“curry, something hearty”, “ramen”, “fish that doesn’t smell”). Apple Intelligence reads your phrasing on-device and matches it to real restaurants near you.
2. Bitest picks one. Not fifty. The decision factors in your stated preferences, your real-time location, your taste history, the weather, the time of day, and a memory of what we’ve already shown you — so it doesn’t keep recommending the same place.
3. Bitest shows its work. Every reason is labeled (Your taste · Your history · Your budget · Ratings · Distance · Time). When the budget you set doesn’t match what won, you get an honest line: “You said $$$$ but $$ won — it beats your higher-tier options on rating and distance.” No mystery.
WHAT BITEST IS NOT
— Not a feed. One pick at a time. That’s the whole point.
— Not an account. No sign-up, no password, no profile to manage.
— Not a tracker. No analytics, no ads, no third-party telemetry. Your name, your history, what you typed — none of it leaves your phone.
— Not magic. When the on-device AI can’t anchor its writing to a real fact about the place, it stays quiet and a sourced template takes over. The reasoning you see is reasoning that’s true.
DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Single pick. Trust the system enough to commit. If you don’t love it, tap Skip — Bitest remembers and recalibrates.
Show the work. Every fact is sourced and auditable. Disagree with one fact, the whole pick stays defensible.
Honest when it can’t. Food desert? Out of range? Bitest says so out loud and offers a clean fallback — try farther, raise the budget, or open Apple Maps.
Built for Apple Intelligence. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence enabled, the friend-voice narration is fully on. On older devices, a sourced template takes over automatically — every pick still ships with reasoning.
Decide dinner in 30 seconds, with a system that explains why. Welcome to Bitest.
