ALEKS constantly breaks in the app
As a way to submit assignments or access simple materials it works great, trying to do any kinda of math work in ALEKS via BlackBoard is horrible.
If you go to the ebook through ALEKS you can’t go back to the assignments without going all the way back to courses and starting over. All because Blackboard doesn’t give you access to any type of tab or back button, if you swipe back it just takes you to the course selection page.
Any kind of popup on a webpage accessed via BlackBoard completely breaks scrolling, locking the page to whatever was viewable at the time. For example, during an ALEKs assignment if you tap the review button to read a bit more about the current problem you can no longer scroll once leaving the review popup. You have to go all the way back to courses select, then the carouse, go through the ALEKS access from BlackBoard, find the assignment and get back to the correct problem.
Not to mention the analytics just flat out doesn’t work on iOS it seems, not once has it shown anything but works just fine on a computer.

Janky and Frustrating
This app is the most janky thing I use on a regular basis. It takes forever to log into my account which I am required to do with the security level of a federal prison every time I open the app despite every time saying that I want to stay logged in. Once I’m in the app and look at my courses, I don’t know what any of them are because the UI formats the text in such a way that I can’t see who the instructor is or whether it is Chem I or Chem II without going into them. This app will also give me a null error every time I want to download a document that a professor posts. With how widespread this poor quality educational platform is, you would think they could afford some halfway decent designs. Instead, it feels like I am transported back in time 15 years ago to a website programmed by a highschooler.

Glitchy SW. Inconsistent experiences across platforms.
Constantly freezes and crashes.
Very rarely works for me. Quickly freezes and crashes, when it opens at all.
Worse app ever
Blackboard doesn’t even let you open simple syllabus through the link. An error pops up Everytime. The app it’s self is so slow and glitches if you try to go to one course to another. You can’t miss around with your grade percentages to see what grade u need on something to get your goal overall grade. Canvas is so much more advanced. Learn some tips from them.

Completely dysfunctional app crashes every time you use it and won’t let you upload anything.

Never had issues till lately and now the app keeps crashing after loading for a couple seconds
So many glitches and looks horrible
I have to sign into the app i’m already signed into to look at anything concerning assignment insurance, the UI is horrible in the mobile app and frequently blocks tabs, no way to estimate grades (like Canvas) and is just clunky all the time.
So buggy
This app works like 50% on the time. The other 50% is where nothing shows up and it always says “a problem on our end” I have to get on my computer to look at my grades. SMH
Is Anybody Out There?
Are there no people working on this app? Why is it so buggy? So glitchy? So useless? It could be great! But it barely ever lets me in now. And when I’m in, it tells me it’s having issues at the moment. Is anyone working on these issues? It’s been months! Surely a LOT of people must want to use this app for uni - if nothing else than like me, simply checking up to see if a grade has been released. Is Blackboard now a ghost ship, drifting aimlessly at sea, rusting and rotting away? What a pity.

Buggy on IPads
The app is fine, just like the website version. However, the UI glitches quite often on my IPad.
Due date reminders
Whenever I forget to do a assignment, I always get a notification that it was due like 20-25 minutes AFTER the due date, never before. It’s so annoying, I get it. Always check if you have homework, but still it would be nicer if it reminded us before time not after
Blackboard review.
The connection is not stable and I disconnected multiple times and have to reconnect again,also in the middle of my work it disconnects.
Perfect for online students!
I love this app, I’m 100% online and a I don’t always have access to my computer so this app is a life saver! I don’t experience no glitches or slow activity. Works great.
Unstable App
Constantly stops responding to button presses, display doesn’t work well with the iPad (newest iPad Pro). It runs better in Chrome and that’s sad.
Fix it
It keeps automatically swiping to another tab no matter what I try to do.
Not the best for iPad or iPhone, but great for computer
I mostly use Blackboard on laptop and I have no problems at all. When I use iPad and there is a pop-up where I have to complete a webpage activity within the blackboard app or I won't be able to login, iPads and iPhones are a nightmare. Also, trying to read PDF documents embedded from professors on BB is a horror show of anxiety on iPhone. Easier on iPad. Best on Computer.
