Freezing and crashing
App keeps freezing and crashing on IPhone 14 Pro. Loads course list, then freezes when you click anything
Literally unusable
Takes me back to the main menu every 5 seconds, I can’t see what my professor messaged me or message them back while I’m in the hospital and don’t have access to my main computer.
Canvas is better
I began using this app as I transferred universities and this was what they use. Previously I had only used Canvas so that was my standard for what an educational app should be like. Blackboard needs to take notes on how to make an app for iPhone and iPad. I cannot open a link on this app because if I do the only way to close out of it is to get off the app and clear it from the phone. I cannot open barely do work on my phone on the app and submitting assignments is out the window. It’s clear though that the company does not care about their reviews because they have not replied to a single one nor have they tried to fix it.

Can't login on the app
I logged out around a month ago ans literally could not log back in at all no matter what i did. Cross site tracking, restarted my phone, deleted the app and redownloades it and nothing seems to work. I can login perfectly fine on desktop or website but the app? Nope. It doesn't work at all, and now I have to just go through my mac or the website to see what my teachers post immediately instead of being able to check on my phone.

Functional
VERY hard to navigate back and forth when clicking links you often have to return to the page with all your classes after opening a link which is annoying when you should just be able to click a back arrow or forward arrow to return to a page again.
Issues
I am using iPadOS 26.5.2. I have a teribite hard drive and I attend Big sandy. When I clock the reading material for me courses it takes me to Mc Graw Hill and its pretty 50/50 on if it will load or give me the loading wheel of death. It will let me click to start and then not take me to the book or assessment. It works on the browser no problem. I’m very frustrated with this.

Logging in from different devices is a human torture trap
Can’t. Canvas is better at this in this area. What do you mean there is no forgot password. I have to go to my university log (two factor authentication btw) and then get the chance to sign into blackboard. Y’all are acting like you got billing info in here. It’s literally not the at deep. You’re making my life so hard here. How about up your firewalls and not make my life 3x harder trying to do anything, like printing at the library.
Also, can’t stand how many limited option you guys have for each class. Finding Specifics (links, books, etc) for each class is like a scavenger hunt. Not everything in the whole class should be under “content” and that’s the only option for actual class content lol. Isn’t having option for content like your guys whole point? And you give us one option for organization? Literally who’s behind the thought process here, maybe you guys should tap into AI atp. Because you’re obviously not using it.

It’s buggy and hardly works, it will sit and spin until you refresh, choppy and frankly unprofessional how this app operates

Some outrageous UI misses that detract from an otherwise fine app
App forces me to go back to the main course selection page whenever I have material open and want to switch to another section. Why o why can’t I just go back up one level? Why does the app think it necessary to start my navigation from the very beginning? Who designed this UI??
PDFs are even worse, somehow. The overlay UI disappears entirely and all you’re able to do is scroll and zoom. No back. No home. No exit. Those buttons are gone. No amount of scrolling, talking, or uttering lines from the Dark Grimoire will get you what you need. Just exit the app and start navigating from the very beginning, again.

Can’t see the whole page
I just downloaded this app for school and can’t see the bottom of the page properly! Is there a solution for that issue??
What are we doing here?
I’m starting College in a few weeks. I need this app for my classes. I’ve been trying for days to login on the app. I can login through the website but the app nothing. I’ve tried probably 20 times with the exact same login information I online to login through the website.
UI and usability trash
If it weren’t for my school using this platform over something like canvas I wouldn’t use this app at all! I hate logging in every time I open the app and sometimes when I try to login it does nothing. As someone who’s studied UX/UI in my opinion this app needs a major overhaul! I can’t even subscribe to my calendar easily without having issues with time zones, etc.

"An issue on our side"
It's a pretty good app don't get me wrong but half the time it displays a message "There seems to be an issue on out side. Please try again later."
Thank goodness the app lets me download the content in advance so I can still access it when this problem happens but it still occurs too often and for days at a time.

Bug
When you click on a discussion post it just loads forever and refuses to open. You are constantly met with a white screen. Please fix this as I don’t always have access to a laptop.
Great app for university support
Supported me through my undergraduate degree I’m able to access my assignments and classes from anywhere down load lecture slide on all devices. Submitting assignments can be challenging so I recommend going on a browser rather than the app.
A lot of bugs
Buttons and icons overlap, app gets stuck when opening the submissions of homework.
