Works very well

To get books bleeped from audible has a bit of a learning curve, but is worth the effort. Very customizable and user friendly once you are ready to go. So grateful this exists!

The New Siftbooks!!!

This is a sorely needed service that just isn’t really available anywhere else!

The ones that”kind-of” filter out profanity really don’t do anything for audiobooks, but Bleeped does!

I can’t wait to get into more titles I have purposely been avoiding because of the extent of profanity in their titles.

Great price, great customer service and support, and a very easy app to use and navigated.

Lots of options available to “tweak” the app. The only thing it’s missing is an equalizer!!

As with anything, I expected it to be buggy once I tried it, but I was pleasantly surprised that there were really only a few minor issues, and the dev team is really on top of it.

Absolutely does not work.

I tried to download the Martian by Andy Weir from Audible. I don’t mind paying for an app. Unfortunately I was not able to download any books from Audible

Excellent all around

Bleeped is everything I hoped it would be. It has customizable filtering options based both on violence, adult content that allows you to decide what degree of this content is too much. And not only that, it features specific words ranging across a myriad of categories from religion, profanity, slurs and sexual content.

Aside from the apps features, the customer support is 10/10. I initially had trouble uploading large mp3 files. I texted the support number listed in the app and got a response within minutes. Their team worked for two hours to identify the problem and ensure it was resolved. When it happened again the next time I attempted to upload a large mp3 file, they again responded in minutes, investigated until they identified the problem and sent out a patch within three days to correct it. It has been smooth sailing since.

I can’t recommend this app enough. Thanks bleeped!

Everything I wanted and more!

This app is something that I have wanted for such a long time! It integrates perfectly with AudiobooksNow and is easy to upload some of my other audiobooks I have from other platforms! Cleans up the language and makes my books actually enjoyable to listen to again!

Love the Bleeped Audiobooks App.

I have been a part of Bleeped Audiobooks since before they launched the app. I was searching for an app that would allow me the ability to listen to the books I love without having to worry about language. Bleeped Audiobooks has made this possible. They are constantly updating the app and are always making it better. What I love most is that they allow me the freedom to adjust specifically how I can filter my books. Be a part of a company that has a great vision and is meeting a need that is lacking in many other companies. If you appreciate the freedom to be able to listen to your favorite books without unwanted language or content, then give them a try!

Misleading and poor customer service

Unfortunately this app isn’t everything I hoped for. I was SO excited to use bleeped, and it turns out it didn’t work for me. “Full access” does not mean you have access to the books unless you buy them very specifically through their only audiobook partner. So books you already own cannot be bleeped unless you spend additional money. Customer service also responded once on their chat, then ghosted me. Then I sent an email… same thing. Responded once, ghosted me, and when I send a follow up to say I am cancelling and address my concerns, I received no response. Unfortunately it was a waste of $4 and wouldn’t recommend.

So excited to use… can’t upload anything…

I’m beyond thrilled to support this cause and want this app to work so badly! However, I just uploaded it and I can’t sync my audible library. There are several buttons not working. There needs to be more instruction/information on uploading.
Please address these glitches:
-Preview button won’t work.
-The summary has &#8729 (or other numbers) throughout the summaries.
-When trying to upload library it gives you the option Audiobooks now or other. I have Audible but the “other” buttons aren’t working doesn’t work.
-While uploading media files the underlined “how do I find my audiobooks?” link does not work.

I am very excited to use this app and look forward to these glitches being fixed. Thank you for building this app for readers who enjoy a read without having to worry about f bombs.

Sounds like an amazing idea but it does not work at all.

I tried to listen to a preview of a book that was included in their very limited collection and it wouldn’t do anything.

Thanks for flagging this and sorry for the frustration. The preview button was not working at the time you tried it, and that part is on us. The rest of the app does function properly, and you can still listen to the full book without any issues or additional content. We appreciate you pointing this out so we could address it quickly.

I can FINALLY read ACOTAR

I wrote a review yesterday. Please disregard it; that was technical difficulties on my part. I have really wanted an app like this for SO LONG. And now it’s here. The only thing I will say is that the Graphic Audio version of the ACOTAR series is the one y’all should vote to add because it has a full cast narrating it. Melody Muze is Feyre. It’s way better than the other versions. Anyway, this app is SO GREAT.

Doesn’t work

I paid $10 for founders perks and got nothing fell for a $4 subscription and the app is useless it doesn’t work.
