Only good if you're paying for the subscription!!!
I thought this app was really good until I stopped paying for the subscription. Now it closes out every time I open the app. I have to constantly uninstall and reinstall just to check my cameras.
Batch notifications
TERRIBLE batch notifications after the event has happened hours/days ago. This has been an ongoing issue for weeks for multiple people. Blink needs to fix it!

app is glitchy
i mean it’s better than nothing i guess. but this app is glitchy AF. currently have no audio when playing back any video. cameras don’t always capture motion. which i thought was the whole point of having these cameras. it’s great at recording shadows, flickering lights and swaying trees. not so much with humans, cars and animals. you know the stuff i actually want to monitor for.

Must have for second home
Excellent for monitoring a second home - we liked it so much we installed in our primary residence to monitor while we're at vacation home or out of town. The image recognition is so cool and continues to get better. What began as "there is small black and white dog on your deck" to "there is black and white Shih-Tzu on your deck". And cams are discounted up to 50% on Prime Day.

AI update has broken the app
The app was fine. The AI update to give descriptions of the video has introduced changes that make the app very annoying with less functionality.
The removal of the ability to go straight to the live view from the notification has gone. It now takes time to open the app, remember which camera has been triggered and then select it to view.
An additional, and really annoying “feature” is the apparent storing of notification on my watch and to just push them out, one after the other, to my watch… hours and hours after the event.
Looking at alternatives now as the system is much less than it was.

Trash
Stopped working months ago, followed every fix I could find and it won’t stay connected to Wi-Fi. Wasted money on cameras and subscription. Bezos the Clown can eat it
What is going on?
I’m not getting notifications, video clips, and can’t even live view my cameras since at least last week. If this was a free service I wouldn’t care but this is unacceptable for a paid service.
One problem
Good app overall but I wish they would fix the issue with the notification of new clips, the number shows how many new unwatched clips, not clearing once viewed. To clear that I have to open the app several times. Once you open the app and watch the clips, that number should disappear.
Getting worse
Battery life never 2 years lucky to get two months, that’s with very low settings. Since bringing Ai into update not working properly since. I have not subscribed to Ai and now can’t talk or get live views. Think might be changing doorbell, definitely not renewing subscription
Cameras just stop working.
I have had my cameras for years. They worked great. After the last software update, everything stopped working. Called support four times and they are no help and just read from scripts. There is not tier 2 technical support or supervisors available to talk to. Social media just directs to the customer support number.

Have thousands of dollars in hardware I cannot use.
There are others with the same issues based on various forums I have read and followed. Yet Blink does not want to help with anything. Expected more from an Amazon owned company.

Dangerously inaccurate
Ai tries telling me I have multiple break ins happening, random animals around my house. This is not ok for elderly who actually need important and accurate information. This is a serious problem waiting to happen.
Took away local storage
I can no longer access local storage. I don’t even have the option to switch from cloud storage anymore.
Not always reliable
Like when the UPS or FedEx person comes sometimes it only notifies me after they’ve already come on my property, came to my door and just leaving and they’ve already been here four or five minutes not cool. Or I have the same settings and I find a package here and it didn’t even pick them up.

Shocking system in many ways
Glitching is horrendous, noise through cameras is also very bad and limited access without subscription
Delayed notification
There is a serious lag between the motion sensor and the notification. I’ve adjusted the sensitivity and it still lags enough to make me feel less safe.
Blink
For the past 6 months, my Blink cameras won’t let me click on them to see clips or to refresh the screen. They’re off now for 7 days with over 175 images I can’t open. I’ve turned off my WiFi for over an hour and shut my phone off for the same amount of time as I got busy. Nothing will fix it until the app does an update. It hasn’t updated since August 24th. Please do sooner updates. Or tell me how to fix the problem.
