Can’t turn sound off
The web site is great (apart from the obvious cookie issues), but the app is completely ruined for the want of one simple feature: turn the sound off. Who wants that incessant clicking all the time it’s running?!

Registers insufficient events
Seems to register only half of the strikes and some are extremely delayed. I’ve had several lightning strikes near me and none are recorded in the app.

I use the more advanced PC app. The two are strikingly different.

A valuable app
An amazing valued app for us up here on the Great Lakes where we get some of the most wicked lightning strikes and storms, are almost always amplified by "lake affect ". This app keeps me in the know and way ahead when a storm is on its way the closer the strikes, the closer to my location. I'm alerted and prepared. I use every day I can watch lightning all around the world.

Very useful lightning tracker
While I wouldn’t rely solely on any app to tell me to get out of a storm, this is one of the few I use regularly. I would be happy to pay to remove the ads, but that does not seem to be an option, and they are not too intrusive.
Blitzing good app
This is a brilliant app can keep alerted and see when risk of lightning is close by. Easy to use clearly visible data.

I haven’t needed to use this app very often. However, when weather conditions show the potential for lightning it it fast, accurate, and effective. No problems.

Overall, I like the app. Things I don’t like are that even when I can see a huge bolt, but it doesn’t always show on the app.
And, the distance circle I have to notify me is orange.the strike dots are yellow and orange so hard to see them

Reliable alerts but the map doesn’t always update
A very useful app for alerting of nearby lightning strikes. When it works, it’s great. However there seems to be a problem with the map updates taking a long time and sometimes not registering a strike at all. I find myself checking the lightningmaps.org website to see where the strike occurred. However the push notification works well so it’s still useful.
