I found the app in feb of 2021, and during the bird app departure I really started spending a lot of time on the app. It still needs some tweaking because it’s a newer app, but the potential is there and the community is already coming together so we’ll there.

Blkem is everything!
I love that this is a safe space for Black people. The owners of the app has no tolerance for bullying and harassment which I love because it keeps the app free from negativity. The app is building pretty well, looking forward to seeing what they become in the future. Good to see an app made for us by us.

I’ve deleted all my other socials
Literally the best most inclusive app I feel so safe and welcomed there. I even found love on there! Dave & his wife are the best definitely Unc & Auntie vibes! Most of the people making bad reviews are the ones who were blocked, they were negative or were trying to steal what Dave and his wife worked so hard on, the devil. He won’t win! DOWNLOAD BLKEM!

Really appreciate this review. And you're right, they were blocked because they were threatening and bullying people on the platform. We cannot tolerate this behavior as we build. Let's continue to build and we have much to do in the community.
Can’t Get In
I downloaded the app 3 weeks ago. I have tried several times each week to sign up and can’t even get past that initial screen. I was getting frustrated but after seeing reviews about the drama with creators banning people and how it isn’t a safe space, I’ll pass. There’s no reason it takes 3+ weeks to sign up anyway.

At first I thought it was too good to be true but this app is great. Twitter meets Instagram for the black community. The admin is fixing issues as soon as they come up so there is a lot of growth and I’m glad to be a part of the journey.
It’s the inclusion for me
It’s important for minority groups to have a space where they feel comfortable and not excluded like we would in some other social media sites. The BlkEm app does that for us. I’m excited to connect with people who look like me without facing backlash from those who don’t. Loving the app so far!
I love everything about this!!
This app is just what POC needs! A safe space to be ourselves without constant judgement and hatred. Everybody is like family and call each other cousins. No drama and unnecessary division just us comin together embracing and loving each other. If you were looking for a space to just be a POC then this is the app for. I look forward to seeing how much this grows and where it’s headed in the future. Shoutout to Uncle Dav he and his team are doing an amazing job!!!
