No Sign-In w/ Google
I created my Bluescape account through Google sso, and thanks to a complete unexplained lack of google sign in the app is nearly worthless. What are the devs thinking????
Tricky to figure out
Okay, so I want to rescind my previous review. This app is better than I had initially experienced. Still not as easy to use as desktop, but works well for what I need. Text size control is a bit buggy, and selecting a board to move is not as simple as I feel like it should be, but it’s great.
Doesn’t do anything well
This app is really in the uncanny valley of whiteboard apps. It’s neither a great note taking app, or a good whiteboard app.
Some examples:
- None of the Apple Pencil integrations are in this app:
- double tap the pencil to switch tools
- pinch to zoom to add detail to a specific section.
- There’s too much setup to get in and go, when having a good whiteboard app, you should be able to pull it up in a whim and start writing
- Awkward note taking, there’s not really a great way to take notes quickly and efficiently. Most iPad users will not be able to use familiar shorts that are typically available globally on the OS
- While it’s convenient to have video conferencing, it also seems out of place for an app that should be the whiteboard. Most likely, customers will have their own video conferencing tools and integration into those would have been more apt.
I really wanted to be able to use this app but the shortcomings of the Apple Pencil features and bulkiness of the app did not help

Game changer
Finally! This is a game changer bringing the workplace into the mobile digital world! All your team’s work, comments, visuals, files - everything - is captured and available at your finger tips. The touch screen wall was an amazing form factor that started it all, the desktop version made it more accessible. Now, the mobile version makes it all even better - and complete. This is very good!
