Very outdated

Terrible app with connection issues being very clunky and interface is similar to windows 95

if I didn’t have to use it I wouldn’t , thinking of ripping the bmpro system out for victron.

I like it, mostly.

In contrast with the earlier reviews, I find the app is pretty useful. In 3 years I’ve only lost the Bluetooth connection (to all client devices, iPhones, iPads and the android screen) once and support helped me reconnect. Access from outside the van is fine considering the Bluetooth source is beside a bunch of power and electronics and is inside a metal box (aluminum frame and siding).
One thing it is missing…
The android version on the internal panel shows the input amps from the solar and car.
WHY DOESN’T the Apple version?
Also very frustrating is that I have to rename my devices (water tanks and lights) on each client device. Why doesn’t the BMPRO store and share the names across all the clients?

App Compatibility

The app is not compatible with Apples CarPlay system, leaving the driver of a vehicle and/or caravan fitted with tyre pressure sensors for example not being able to see the status of your caravan or car tyres in real time, effectively making it a dud.

Outdated App

If i didn’t have to use these app i wouldn’t, the user interface is terrible and gives very little information. The Bluetooth connection is absolutely appalling and doesn’t connect. Considering the amount you pay for The system, you think the app would be a lot better but it isn’t. The bmpro team definitely needs to pull there finger out

Additional feature

Would be good to show Solar input separately instead of needing to add battery plus loads.

Gas sensors on Home Screen please

Pretty nice app which connects well.. except I’ve added a gas sensor for the gas tank to the app and I now have to scroll through 2 menus to see it.. would be nice if it displays on the Home Screen…
Also constantly needing to scroll up to see the status seems kind of pointless.. doubt there is anyone who needs this ..

Useless

Keeps dropping connection. Have to reset the van and reconnect all the time. Is not bad if it works. On holidays now and worked for 1 week of our 3 week holiday. Update 12 months ago to fix issues with IOS16 . We are now up to IOS17.5.1.

Needs Work

Could very well do with an update! The units this app monitors are worth thousands and it feels like this app was thrown together on a Friday afternoon.

An update so that it actually has a battery percentage would be greatly welcome not that redundant “time remaining” garbage.

Poor

Terrible Bluetooth connection with limited connectivity. It’s a clunky app. Updates and improvements just don’t happen.

Needs lots of work

Like others the Bluetooth outside the van is useless so in car monitoring is out of the question. App needs to be far more customisable as it’s a preset layout that you have to scroll through to find the bits you use

Bad

No wonder everybody is moving away from BMpro its the hardest equipment ever to work with. Does not pair with van….sorry dies not even find my can to pair with. Unfortunately I am stuck with this until I can upgrade, hope its soon because life is to short for this much difficulty.

Impossible to use to full potential

Screen rotation is unavailable, it’s fixed on portrait.

Without, full display is impossible to see.

Works well

Some difficulty locating the pairing button on the side of the device but once I did the connection was easy. A bit annoying that you have to have the app to access the manual for the Odyssey 104 - manual should be made available on BMPro website like other manuals are.

Hard work

I find it impossible to pair my iPhone. Service tech had same problem.
Very limited customer support.

Connection with ApplePhone is terrible

Been trying so many times and different ways in an attempt to connect my Apple phone with the BMPRO 104 .

Bluetooth Range is limited

Once outside of the van the phone loses Bluetooth connection with the device in the van. This means that you can’t monitor tyre pressures, for example, when driving.

When in the van, however, the app functions well.
