A bit suspicious
Why was this not mentioned that it required an in app purchase before I downloaded the app, gave away my email address (possibly to be ) and created a password. Seems a bit dodgy compared to other apps that are upfront about their charges.

Hi MobiDeb, when you view an app in the store, it will display a price initially if it is a fully paid app, or show a "get" button for free apps, or ones that feature a trial and later in app purchases. How this is handled in the app store is not under Camps Australia's control, Apple determines the set up based on the pricing model. Under the apps full Information section, it fully details all pricing options, in line with apple and the ACCC's rules around price transparency. We do not hide anything from users, you can start a 7 day trial without and fee's to see if the app suits your needs, if you are happy with what on offer you can continue with a paid subscription, if not just cancel and no fee's will apply. If you look at the apps information section, it clearly states there are in app purchases and list the relevant charges, we are not trying to hide anything from users, we just want people to have an awesome time traveling across oz! It would be great to touch base direct and discuss in further detail, please contact us direct on - support@campsaustraliawide.com or call 07 5474 2542
