Won’t let me upgrade

I fully maxed my lv 1 ship and I can’t get the lv 2 ship because it says i need to upgrade the first one.

Great game

No way to progress after like third ship upgrade and there is no longer mid game upgrades that add health to ship

It’s cool just keep adding new weapons and troops and maybe you can make some optional ads for in game rewards so you guys get money and stuff

I am stuck on a mission. When I die there. It says I have been rewarded the gems and such. However it doesn’t give me any that I supposedly earned for it. So I can’t upgrade my units, and I can’t progress due to it
