Great experience
I never ever reviewed an app before but i just had to. This made me actually want to learn it was like a game it was just great i actually learned nd passed my test at the end thanks!
Do not use
There is no help in costumer support. It won’t let me
Log into the App or anything. I payed the extra for the fast course have been on hold for 1hr+ twice with no answer!!!! waste of money $80 down the drain. Thanks a lot BOAT Ed

good but
i did the whole thing but when i try to get the certificate it say the field is invalid and nth is invalid it annoying and i still can’t get my license but the app is good itself
Please please please remember my login
Genuinely not a bad way to learn. They definitely gamified the learning and it pays off for my personality. Learned a lot more than I thought I would.
However. Every. Single. Time. I open this app I have to login again. I use long aliased emails and long passwords so it made opening the app something I dread. Two stars off for that

Login fails
I registered on boat-ed, paid for the course, downloaded the app, entered the same login info, says I’m not registered. I go to boat-ed and it logs me in and I can take the course over a browser… but some things are missing off the screen with no way to move the picture. Very poor design.
Forgot password and username
I got to make progress but I had to put it off and forgot my log in info. It doesn’t have an option for recovery on the app
Awful app
I paid 100 dollars for this and it won’t even give me my username

The lessons wouldn’t be bad if the app were fixed.
I have to type in my user ID every time I use the app, and the passwords app can only auto fill the password.
The app has odd glitches sometimes too.
It had an option read narrator the text, but it’s greyed out so we can’t use it, if you don’t have the option don’t show it.
I don’t even know how long I have left, there isn’t a place telling me how many lessons I have left.
Please at least update the login stuff, and tell me how many lessons are left.
(This was expensive.)

Those are all valid concerns! We appreciate you taking the time to respond. The login issue, unfortunately, doesn't have an easy solve because the login/registration is stored in a different database then the app itself. For security reasons (imposed by states) we cannot store your credentials in the app. You can see how many lessons are left and your current progress in the "Map View." Happy boating 🚤
Fix the login
Every time I switch the app to the background, I’m logged out and have to sign in again. On top of that, use the “Remembered Username” option isn’t available because it’s hidden underneath another field. I had to sign in at least six times in a single day, which is incredibly frustrating. Please fix the login persistence and the hidden username option.

Sorry to hear of your login issues. For security reasons (imposed with our contractual agreements with the state agencies) we cannot store login data in the app itself.

Good app for beginners
Started knowing basically nothing and just now got my boating license in 2 days app works great and is a good fun experience and enjoyable learning as well! I never encountered the signing in issues others had but I went through the online website to the App store through there but that and I do have a newer phone so that also could be a contributing factor but would recommend this app to a friend and in my experience worth the cost (:

Told to use this didn’t work
Purchased course in browser and told to download app because of issues with the mobile websites issues with viewing the course. Download this app and it doesn’t let me login.

Correct. You have to use the native app with a mobile device. The mobile browser doesn't have ability to support the course as a web object. Apologies for the login issue. Just reach out to customer service for a quick fix.

Won't let me create an account
Asks for user name and password to start but there's no option to create an account.
Boating license
Complete garbage you can’t even take final exam,after so many emails no response from Boat-ed but they took my money.
poor website
paid for one course giving me the wrong one tried emailing but its giving me a 404 code that says i cant email i open the app and it says i dont even have a course so now i’ve probably just lost 80 dollars and still dont have a course

How do you even login?!
I downloaded the app just to be hit with nothing but a username and password thing like I had already been in the app. I tried tapping around the screen looking for something hidden or whatever and came up with nothing. If you’re confused like I am don’t download this app. Also if the developer comments on this review tell me how to do it

Engaging & Efficient
Highly recommend. Finished it in 4 hours over a couple of sessions. I really enjoyed this format on my phone for EDU/certification. This is the course you want.

can’t get my certificate
when i try to get my certificate it refuses to let me print it or even see it! i did this before on the website before the app was created and didnt finish. it expired and I used an entirely different login the only same thing i used was my email and password. but now that I’m done with the interactive + one it keeps bringing me back to my expired lesson! I payed 106 dollars for the ED+ and got scammed. i’m just praying i will still get my card.
