Broken scooter, didn’t get $3 credit, can’t report issues

Not sure what’s up with this business and app… scooter was broken. Scooter said scan to get $3 free but no sign of that. You have to buy credits first rather than pay per ride. Bonus: tried to report the issues on my family’s scooters — in-app report feature asks for a six digit code from scooter… all of them are seven digits. I’d share a picture here if I could. Feel like my family just got ripped off for a lot of money for what we got
