Update is painful to use
I’ve used this app for years and loved it, but the most recent update is extremely hard to learn, there is absolutely no info on how to do anything and I cannot access all of my past designs. I wish there were a tutorial or some way to learn rather than frustrating trial and error. The Facebook group started by the developer hasn’t been updated in years and the support page links to the developer’s sales site only.

What happened??
I have been using this app since it launched years ago. I started a new pattern yesterday, and today the app updates and everything I had saved is gone. Can’t access it in iCloud either. Tried remaking the pattern so I could continue with my book, but it’s all different measurements now which means I have to start over. The changes that were made are not user friendly at all. Needless to say I will be deleting this app and going with another one.

Bought this app got through half a book fold and BOOM, nothing, the file I was working on won’t even open up. I am requesting my money back. Nobody to contact for customer service help. So disappointed!
Patterns will not show
I loved this app until today! I open the app, it shows my patterns, but once I tap to view the pattern- blank white screen.
My phone just did a software update last night and now this app doesn’t work. I deleted and reinstalled app and same problem. Please help as I’ve lost about 40 patterns!

Really like but has issues
*Edit 3 - lots of frustrating bugs at this point and no indication it will ever be updated. Although the bugs are not being fixed, there is now an option to pay $40 (!!) annually just to get it to be more functional for exporting to Excel. There is a way to print without paying but it has a ton of annoying watermarks on the page and you can’t format anything, it’s print as is pdf. It won’t cleanly convert to excel and takes a lot of effort. It’s worth the $10 fee if you make a lot of MMCF patterns, MMF don’t work as well.
*Edit 2 - even more features have stopped working, such as simply being able to name the patterns. Developer website linked to Apple Store no longer exists which makes me think the app won’t be updated ever to fix issues. Still functional but frustrating to use.
*Edited - some features aren’t showing up in the app anymore, if I go into a pattern there is no way to get out without exiting the app and relaunching. Still functional, but can be frustrating to use if you have a lot of patterns.

App will not open pattern
I have been using this app for over a year with minor complaints. I go to use the app today and it opens the app, shows my patterns, but once I tap to view the pattern- black screen.

Excellent but…..
App is very easy to use and navigate and straightforward for loading images and generating a pattern. However, once I have generated a pattern, the first few pages will say ‘leave or remove from book’ and then once the measurement pages start, every other page seems to say ‘skip’ and I don’t know why, as none of the patterns I have bought elsewhere have ‘skip’ in them, surely leaving in unfolded pages would spoil the look of the book or am I misunderstanding something?

So frustrated with this app!
I want to do a simple MMF pattern with letters in a block font. There are no instructions or tutorial that I can find. I finally typed out and took a picture of the word I want to make and it tells me it won’t work. I can’t just type in the word (I guess). I spent $10 on this app and can’t get any help. If it was a real product it would be a brick doorstop. I joined the Facebook group to ask for help and I notice everyone who has written a question gets zero answers including me. I’d like my money back but I can’t even get to anyone to ask for help or get a refund. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

VERY unhappy with this app. Not user friendly at all. Does not do what it says it does and keeps closing out. Very unfortunate as I was very happy to see an app of this nature.

Hi Kate, edit: Printing is now available. Printing is in the works for a future update. It pains me to see a one star review, considering the app is fully functioning, with several members in our Facebook group creating beautiful works with our app, and for only a fraction of the price of comparable software. The app is called "Book Art Pattern Maker" and it does exactly what it says. I respect your feedback but I hope others will consider whether or not this is a fair and honest review.
