Loses Place
I’ve been using for over a year now, and have been thinking about unsubscribing due to the app constantly losing my place in a audio book. Every time I reopen the app it starts me from the beginning of the book I am reading with every book I read. I have emailed about it and they just told me to update my app, which solved nothing.

Love this app but..
This app is great and I love being a member! But I wish it wasn’t so glitchy. Since I started using this app 5 years ago, it’s always been like this.
No Bug Fixes
Been 4 months and still am unable to use the app. Keyboard freezes at password login portion of the screen and I’m on an iPhone. And unable to use the app. Reading reviews this is clearly a known and reported issue that continues to go unfixed. I go to the website to choose my books now - but sadly it doesn’t let me rate the books there. Making it so that I cannot earn badges. The app was great, but when you cannot access something and they are not interested in fixing it- the motivation to stay connected and choose monthly books/browse for additional books dwindles. I can only imagine that it is the same for other readers. What used to be a quick easy process through the app now has me going to website every month and extra steps = extra work = less interest in buying. Time is valuable, for everyone.

Love BOM but app needs work
My husband signed us up for BOM a while back. It’s been wonderful to get shiny new books every month. BUT, the app really sucks and needs work. Here are the problems:
1. It’s very slow and unresponsive.
2. If you are anywhere in the navigation (like All Months) and click on any book, the back button hardly ever works. So you have to basically close/reopen the app and navigate back to what you were looking at.
3. If you are looking at the book details, it doesn’t tell you if you’ve already purchased that book.
4. There is no intuitive way to see all the books you’ve purchased in the past. You have to click on “Challenge” and then “Rate books” to see them.
5. It would be really simple to add a link to the Goodreads profile for each book, so why isn’t it there? I always look up the GR reviews anyway, and it would save time. GR isn’t selling books, so it isn’t a competitor to BOM.
6. Why can’t you filter by the different search criteria across all books? E.g. Mystery + Fast Read
7. Why can’t you sort your TBR list by the different categories and filters?
Some of these are nice-to-haves obviously. But BOM really needs to fix the basic performance of the app and get the navigation working.
