Bummer

I was enjoying your game, but when I tried to buy it closed out. When I re-opened it, it had started at the beginning but when I tried to buy the game, it said I owe zero dollars. Help.

Book Travelers 3: A Gothic Tale by LynxMinx

Happy holidays to Elephant and my loyal iOS population of gamers!
I really didn’t love this game, because I was never an aficionado of gothic horror tales, such as Dracula (written by Brad Stoker), Frankenstein (Mary Shelley) and The Man in the Iron Mask ( I think Victor Hugo but I’m not sure!) Anyway, general gameplay was enjoyable, with a plethora of creative tasks to accomplish. The HO scenes were miserable, because there was a marked lack of touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface, as well as Elephant not giving the player the option to zoom in (which makes it very difficult for older players to find objects because our eyesight is not what it used to be). In addition, many of the HO scenes were very dark, making the issue even worse. Several of the mini-games were very hard to manipulate, and there were too many of the resize and assemble games, as well as other rotational puzzles which I do not care for in the least. Give me logic problems, labyrinths and mazes and I’m happy. These puzzles did not pique my interest. Then, the developer put exclamation marks on the map when there was no task to be completed at that location! Don’t put an exclamation point if there’s only an objective. PUT THE EXCLAMATION POINT ONLY IF THERE IS A VIABLE TASK TO ACCOMPLISH ! How many times do I need to tell you? Also, some of the plus items lit up when there was NOTHING to combine them with in your inventory.
I really loved the other installments in this series. This game missed the mark for me, and I am rating it 3 stars for merely average.
I prefer other series way more, such as Detectives United, Paranormal Files, and Grim Tales. All of these have mystery interwoven with paranormal sleuthing, and those are much more intriguing and enjoyable. Let’s look at the bright side. I’m glad it wasn’t a Crossroads. I detest that series totally!
I think Elephant had better take my advice and put it to good use. I can block your revenues if I’m not happy with the quality assurance or general gameplay. Remember, I incur more revenues for the developers than ANY OTHER GAMER on the paying iOS platform. The other developers give me unlock codes, but you have shown no appreciation whatsoever and have never done so, although I have helped you immensely. Remember, there would be no HOAG genre without me after BigFish left us in the lurch seven years ago. My hard work paid off, and you still have a company, due to MY hard work. I did this single-handedly, which affected my health, but I loved my iOS population of gamers too much to leave them without a genre. Why not ever show some appreciation and thank me for what I do for you? I don’t get paid to do it. That is why ALL of the other developers send me unlock codes, the day of a new game release. That does not affect my review; I always review fairly. However, it can affect your revenues, because if I play free and love the game my influence extends to an entire population. For goodness sakes, it’s a $6.99 game. Sometimes your games are not even worth that price because of quality assurance and brevity. You want honesty? Look to me to give it to you! I have helped you for years, made you a ton of money and you have never ever shown an iota of appreciation! After this any game I play will get the briefest review, and I won’t be bothered to point out issues and problems. However, if it’s anything major, I will ruthlessly block your revenues, and there’s nothing you can do about it! The App Store won’t help you either because I make too much money for them as well. Plus the review forum is a place where anything may be said, except of course if it is profane.
Do one small thing and restore the zoom feature in the HO scenes. We are not getting what we pay for without it, and no other developer has taken it away from us. Sometimes I feel you are having your games made by someone else, because the graphics are awful, the lack of sensitivity is appalling, there is no zoom, and the map marks are incorrect. The only thing that has stayed the same is the innovative storylines and addictive gameplay.
I have really given you some great advice here and I wish that you would take it to heart. And remember, some words of thanks for everything I have done for you for the last 15 years would be nice. If you ever decide to email me with a free unlock code for a new release, my email is my nickname( LynxMinx) @icloud.com. You might want to try it. It will ensure higher revenues! If you don’t believe me, ask Domini and Friendly Fox, and both of these developers will tell you how immensely I have helped them over the years. (especially Oleg Smolyanskiy, who was on the verge of bankruptcy when BF decided to get out of this beloved genre. Now he is the most successful developer in this genre, and he owes his success to me. He took all of my advice, did exactly what I suggested, and has made tons of revenues. Of course I always get unlock codes immediately from Domini!) I would never suggest you send me codes for all of your new releases, but once in a while it would show your appreciation for all of the endless hard work I do for you! Thanks for hearing me out!

Dracula is a winner

This game was really good. I had no problems at all. I like this one just as much as the others. Please keep the series going. When is there a Christmas game coming out because I look forward every year. To everyone please have a Happy Holiday and Happy New Year.

Fatal flaw chapter 4…no refund possible.

Can’t progress in the game due to a fatal flaw in chapter four. Swamp witch never appears. No one responds from Elephant support, and in fact their website messaging service is not functional. :( save your coins friends, higher quality games and publishers are out there.

Book Travelers 3: Dracula by LynxMinx

Looks like it’s going to be terrific! I have an important update for you. On Thursday, December 12th, Friendly Fox will release a Mad Head game. It’s called Rite of Passage: Hackamore Bluff. I have previewed it and it’s a must purchase!
I will get back to you with a fuller review of this game.
Happy holidays to Elephant and my loyal iOS population of gamers!
