Unusable
I really liked the idea of this app, but the broken UI makes it unusable. It’s impossible to login on my phone, and the iPad app cuts off half of what’s on screen. I really wish it worked :(

Amazing App
I love the variety of books and I’m finding so many great book recommendations!! I highly recommend this app, it has so many great stats as well. Very organized and easy to navigate.

Genre options pointless
I wanted to try to find more books like ones I’ve read using a swiping system for ease of use. However I’ve noticed that i still get a lot of genres I’ve not selected and the options aren’t very up to par with my taste yet but will keep trying

Thanks so much for the feedback. We do our best to recommend quality books from our users' preferred genres, but we're learning that even within genres, there is enormous variety in tastes. We are constantly working on our recommendation algorithm to improve on this. For many of our books, we have curated a "More like this" section, so you could also try searching for books you have loved and scrolling down in the book details page to see other books that are similar to it. Hope that gives you some joy!

Tinder but for books
Firstly I love to swipe so appreciate the layout. Also have met many books that I would not have come across otherwise. Now I have a specially curated ‘to read’ library for my vast number of tastes. This app makes the search for finding a good book so much easier!
Finally! The ONE!
I have truly been down the rabbit hole with all of these book trackers. I thought that I found the one that I could settle on, but the utter lack of response from the developers, coupled with the fact that they had so few books, and didn’t seem to want to add more sent me on a search. I stumbled across Bookist, and it seemed to check all the boxes for things that I was looking for, plus they have both an iPhone and iPad version for FREE. The best part of all? They are lightning quick to respond! Each time I have asked for a book to be added, Louise has been on top of it. She’s absolutely lovely, and when I inquired about some other features I was interested in, she told me at least one was in the works already. I truly appreciate developers who are response and kind to their user base. It’s very important to have that support back and forth. I’m also finding that their suggestions are really cool too. If you are looking for a hearty book suggestion/tracking app look no further. I can’t believe it’s free. I would gladly pay for a subscription to support!

Walked into Exclusive books the other day not knowing what to read and where to start and in bit of a rush.. so sought out this app which is so useful and has set me up for months to come
Incredible App!
Thanks to Bookist's easy to use "Tinder-style" interface and great overviews, in 10 minutes, I found 11 new books I definitely want to read and 9 more in the "maybe" stack. This is the dumbed down, novice version of Goodreads for those of us that are not already immersed in reading 50 books a year.
I had given up on recent books as being badly written and dumb. I had stopped reading altogether. Thanks to Bookist, my cynicism about recent books has been disproven, and my joy for reading has been rekindled.

Discovering Books
You will never want for a good book to read if you use Bookist. The catagorised book stacks open new reading avenues for one to explore and it’s a great way to record books you’ve read and to provide reviews for other readers.

A very easy-to-use and entertaining way to identify new books to read and keep track of the books you’ve finished.
Highly useful book app
I’ve now got the hang of swiping left and right… am enjoying finding new authors and thinking about my reasons for choosing (or not) to read a book. I particularly like being able to create my own shelves in categories that work for me. So I’d say this app is fun, intuitive and useful. Also love having different lists eg Booker Prize.

Bookist is a solid companion for any book enthusiast. Its easy-to-use interface offers a beneficial user experience, while its recommendations are usually helpful. Great way to keep track of what I have read, and find new books to read in my selected preferred genres.
A most useful tool
I have never logged onto the app and not discovered a new book I want to read. There is no sense of commercial manipulation. The books recommended and the well-compiled stacks are diverse and helpful. An excellent place to store and explore.
Great way to find new reads!
I like being able to swipe on Bookist to explore new books I might like that are curated to my interests and based on books I’ve previously enjoyed. It’s almost like browsing a bookstore made just for me. Highly recommend!
