Keeps Browser History
This app does the ONE thing I needed, and something I couldn’t find a way to do any other way on Apple devices… and that is work with a browser to make it impossible for a child to delete their browser search history. It does this with the Spin Safe browser which is working well for my 12 year old. Boomerang keeps a history of all sites visited EVEN IF my daughter deletes her history. Spin Safe also has the ability to block categories of web content as well as specific sites. It’s the perfect solution to give her the freedom to use the internet but I can make sure she is staying safe. THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS APP.

No improvements for years
It needs a refresh and you can’t update every setting in the mobile app. You have to sign on to the boomerang site with a web browser to adjust many key settings. Guys, seriously, get with it and start improving the function and UI. Don’t rest on your laurels. There’s plenty of competition out there.

This is the worst app on all app stores.
Please take this app down. This has basically ruined my life back in 2022 or 2021 because my entire life was tiktok. that was the only thing keeping me entertained. And this applies for most children who are exposed to screens at a young age. You are not helping kids. You are helping them develop hate.

Frustrating
This app has the potential to be great, but is instead quite frustrating. The Accessibility option always disables on my son’s Android Galaxy rendering the parental controls disabled and not functioning. There is no customer service line to call. Instead you have to email and wait for a response. I like the design of this app, but not the functionality.

Used to be great.
Now it’s good at best. I just renewed it for one more year against my better judgement after problems last year and now their whole website is down to the point you can even look at the dashboard for your account. It did this one other time and they don’t even notice.
Stupidest App Ever!
I haven’t been able to uninstall the app from my now adult son’s tablet for 2 YEARS!! It won’t recognize my password AND the trial ended so where’s the 500.00 I paid for a tablet I haven’t been able to use for 2 YEARS!!
Always glitching
The app glitches it messed up my phone I had to get a new one. I don’t recommend I had the app for 2 year and it would glitch, normally I was able to fix it but this last time it messed up the phone and I couldn’t do anything about it. I reached out to customer support but no one ever got back to me so for that I don’t recommend this app

No Disclosure
Thanks for having me take 30 minutes to set everything up, only to find out it is just for a fourteen day trial. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. I am now deleting it on day one of my trial.
New phone won’t transfer
I had given Boomerang one star because it would not let me keep my license for a new phone. It did finally get fixed and the Boomerang team asked me to contact them to get it fixed. I don’t need to now. While looking for a new AP, I realized there were some free ones that are too easy for my 13 year old to get around, and others that are much more expensive. Boomerang does what I need at a good price. I didn’t give 5 stars because of the time it took to get the new phone back on my account. Had I bought a new service, I may have had to go through the same problem.

New phone won’t transfer
It worked until we got a new phone. The Boomerang app will not recognize that I already paid for the service. It wants me to buy it again. I can’t delete the free trial, and get my previously saved settings or even control the phone anymore. I contacted Boomerang help, and just got a response to upgrade the app. That did nothing. I’ll look for another app.

Kids experience more freedom when they are safe

Lots of errors
They hardly ever update the app, so it has lots of errors.
Kid figured out hot spot still works
So he can use the hot spot to connect his laptop to the internet. Somehow he disabled the location setting so you don’t know where the location of the phone is.
Not suitable for iOS
Works phenomenally well on my android phone, but terrible on my iPad. Hopefully they can fix the issues!

Use to be great
This app use to be great! I would have given 5 stars, then they start doing all these updates and now nothing is protected on my kids tablet. They can download and play whatever game. I have been in contact with them several times and the issue has not been resolved. Just keep giving me the run around “update, update update” well the updates don’t work. I’m

Lousy
The features do not work/track on Apple so this is a pointless app.
Basic functionality turned into nonfunctional
The application portal stopped working a week ago and still hasn’t been fixed. As another user said, the SSL cert expired May 19th. Such a simple fix, get it renewed !!
Website expired
I’ve used this app for years and mostly been happy with it. But their SSL certificate is expired and I can’t get a response as to when it Eileen be working again. It’s got me very concerned. Is anyone else having a problem?
