Love boots offers

I love the offers that are emailed through . Well worth the savings . Great delivery service too and chances to double your points .

Great until there’s an issue

I have been a loyal Boots customer for years, and have used the app for many years too.

I moved house in February, and since then I have been unable to place an order to be delivered to my home address, despite having placed dozens of orders successfully at my previous home address. The reason being that the
Customer validation checks for these new orders have failed.

Despite numerous emails to the customer service department, which have all being treated as a singular emails with a stock response “we are unable to discuss why a validation check has failed”.

Requests to escalate the issue to App administrators or IT staff all ignored, calls to customer service have resulted in the same failure to resolve the issue.

Through a process of elimination, I now understand that my address must be black listed on their app and online platform, I had tried different cards, ensured that all my cards were correctly registered to my address, placed orders online as guest - nothing worked, all orders I wanted to be delivered failed (there have been numerous, about 10 since moving here)

So today, I tried one last thing - I placed an order to be delivered to store, and it worked!!

I am now certain that my address is black listed, maybe (I am guessing) the previous occupant, kept “not receiving” orders, and it triggered a do not deliver to this address by Boots, the App fails to cross reference me rather just the address, making it impossible for me to order for delivery to my home address.

This wouldn’t be a major issue if when Boots are called or emailed, explaining the issue, they actually escalate it to the App administrators or IT department when requested, rather just sending than same stock response and doing anything about it.

Boots - you need your App to:

- Not black list an address only, black list a person and address so if they move, future occupants can place orders

- most importantly you need to improve your customer service, so if a customer has a issue it’s actually escalated and resolved
