Lack of preset for soundbars

Since the app is required I must say that presets should be given to sound bars. I constantly need to adjust. It would be nice to just select another preset

So far so good

No issues, pretty straightforward

100% creepy

If I had realized that Bose was going to collect the information on every single thing I listen to, on top of tracking my location and sharing information with advertisers I would have never bought earbuds from them. I don’t want a stalker, digital or otherwise!

On top of that in the majority of the calls I try to answer or make with these clip on ear buds people complain they can’t hear me or that I sound super tinny. So creepy and bad microphone. Ew. Shame on Bose.

Ability to check your model #?

A bit taken aback that there’s no way to check the model or any device info for your devices unless they are on/connected by Bluetooth. This info should just be in the app.

I struggled in the app for a while trying to figure out why my headphones don’t completely turn off noise canceling on any mode. I had to google and find out on threads that my model does NOT allow you to turn it off—this is something the app should tell you!

Software inconsistency between earbuds and headsets

Headset always stays connected to software (good) but is inconvenient to use when laying down. When laying down the earbuds are more convenient but they constantly disconnect and frequently fails to reconnect. Why does Bose make one product that can stay connected but another product that simply cannot stay connected even after many software updates over several years?

Incredible

Total and complete satisfaction!

Bose headphones

Love the ease to set up and the sound is amazing.

HORRIBLE!!!

Don't EVER waste your $$ on Bose earbuds,
They take FOREVER to synch, Sound like TRASH & will CONSTANTLY cut out & away from an Iphone15.
You have been warned!
Bose is GARBAGE.

Update killed my soundbar connection

I've had ongoing connectivity problems with the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar. It repeatedly disappears from both the Bose app and AirPlay while my router shows it still connected with a strong signal. The only fix is unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds. A normal restart doesn't do it. It comes back, works for a few days, then drops again.

I ruled out my network thoroughly. It failed the same way on wired Ethernet and on Wi-Fi. It failed on WPA3 and on WPA2/WPA3 mixed. I have a single router, no mesh nodes, and my phone and the soundbar are confirmed on the same subnet. Four HomePods and an Apple TV share this network and none of them ever drop off AirPlay. The soundbar is the only device that does this.

The hardware sounds great and works fine with the TV over HDMI. But the network side is unreliable enough that AirPlay isn't something I can count on, and there's no way to restart the unit from the app when it happens. You have to physically pull the plug.

And the latest app update just put a nail in the coffin because even with multiple device restarts, the soundbar has not connected at all to the Bose app let alone Airplay. Though it shows as connected to the wireless network in the Orbi app.

Horrible

App and functions are horribly coded; gave multiple errors when creating an account with no mention of what the issue is. Instructions via app on BASS MODULE 700 are unspecific and incorrect. Would never recommend this product

Pls bring back voice announcements instead of beeps!

I use these with my QC ultra 2 earbuds, and love the sound quality.

However I miss the voice announcements for battery and for switching modes, for letting you know which device it’s just connected to, etc.

I don’t know what the various random beep noises that it uses now mean. I find it less user friendly now.

They just want you to buy new products

Bose is terrible. The app is terrible. They don’t support older products that are really not that old. They just want you to buy their newest products instead. Long time Bose customer. I have given up and gone to other better brands. Rhymes with Oh No’s and sheets.

Useless with an iPhone

Every time i turn the headphones on they connect to my Mac.

1. Ok so i toggle the connection to Mac off. Next time i switch the headphones on, it still connects to the Mac! And it makes the Mac connection the active one.
The Mac is switched off and nothing is playing on it.

2. Say I'm listening to a book. The next time i put the headphones on, it will play music from the Mac (or it will play nothing) even though the last thing i did was listen to a book on my phone.

3. I'm connected to my phone. I play the book on the audiobook app. I pause it using the headphones. I play it using the headphones. It does not play the book! It just drops my phone at every possible opportunity.

4. Noise cancelling switches off when I'm in calls. That's the most useless noise cancelling I've ever heard of. And no it's not how Bluetooth works because it works as expected on an old windows 10 laptop - when I'm in calls, the noise cancelling is exactly the same as when I'm not in calls on the windows. So it's technically possible but regressed for newer devices/ios.

"TOTAL CONTROL" - I'd love SOME control. At the moment, i have very little control over what will play out even if it will play!

Very frustrating as it used to work perfectly and now it's just badly designed connections!

Headphones won’t connect

The app is a very clunky way to have to connect my headphones. I’ve always hated it. But now that the headphones are out of a warranty, they won’t stay connected more than a few seconds. So it’s expensive garbage. I won’t be buying Bose again.

expect better from Bose

Half the time app forgets about my headphones and have to go through a whole rigmarole of setting them back up and reconnecting them with everything. It shouldn’t require an app and a phone to switch between quiet/aware modes on headphones. They should be self contained.

Awful

The multipoint connection handling is awful.Attempting to switch from one to another is virtually impossible from the app. Whatever settings chosen is reset when exiting.

Bose :)

I rlly love the quality and simplicity

Great Speakers

Your speakers are really above all the others. I got the Soundbar Ultra and the little portable home speaker so I could listen in one room while the TV no longer has to blast from the other. Well done, this is working out Fantastically!!

So good

Bought it for my soundlink gen 2. App is so easy to use. EQ works nice, can use to manage multiple Bose speakers. 10/10

The best

Wonderful
