Stopped working
My Bosma deadbolt lock stopped working. I tried changing the batteries and everything with no luck. It’s just dead. I can’t even find it on the web to buy a new one. I’m highly disappointed.

I’ve been using the Aegis smart lock for over 5 years now and it has held up with the times! Yes this app doesn’t have cross app functionality with HomeKit BUT for the price you pay it is well worth the value. I was recently stuck on a mountain in Tennessee and this app saved me by allowing me to set up a guest code for my neighbor to feed my kitties!!

Excellent Cameras
After years of operating, my Bosma outdoor cameras still work great! I’m glad I bought the motorized swivel model, as it picks up more around my residential property. Thank you Bosma!

Easy to use app for my Bosma cameras. I used to buy different cameras but now they’re all Bosma.
Bad programming choices, and where is the company?
Edit 10/4/25: Had a serious problem last night -- even though the door was firmly closed, it remained unlocked all night - Autolock didn't work. Came back here and noticed that it is no longer available. Went to their website and clicked on their Support Chat link and it leads to a Server Cannot Be Found page. The phone number in the app yields a "no longer in service" message. So, it's too late to return to Amazon and the seller/manufacturer seems to be no longer functioning. Definitely a mixed bag. On the plus side, it wasn't hard to install or set up, and seems to work ok, though the unit itself feels rather cheap.
As others have noted, it sometimes takes a minute or two to auto-unlock, and sometimes doesn't do it at all without using the app, which is not "auto." Also, though I have recalibrated numerous times, it doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between closed, ajar, or open, and when it is ajar (which I have to do, see below) it keeps trying to lock.
But the bigger problem for me is how it is programmed. It will not unlock unless you go more than 600 ft. away before you return, so when going out into the yard or to get the mail at the end of the driveway you have to leave the door ajar and have it repeatedly try to lock while I'm out. If you actually close the door, you'd better have the keys and/or the phone in your pocket or you are locked out.
My suggestion would be to allow users to set the distance you have to go away before it will unlock. Or even better, eliminate that entirely and just have it auto-unlock anytime the phone is, say, 8ft. away (or better still, make that distance user-settable).

Decent for the price
Bought these on sale. The battery life is decent, but I cannot find a source for replacement batteries. Additionally, the cameras randomly lose connection to the network. The motion detection is hit and miss sometimes, but that could be a setting that I have missed. I did not pay for extra things in the app, so I cannot speak for those. I have had them for about a year.

Good but with quirks
I like these units a lot they allow me to mock and unlock my doors remotely. They also let me check the status of my doors when I’m unsure that I’ve left something open. But they have a quirk on a door that is used often. It often loses track of the open/closed state. I’ve purchased two more since so it hasn’t deterred me from using them. Just wish it would stop doing that.
