Poor moderation / unsafe community
This app is full of extremely inappropriate and hateful users. Reporting hateful diaries does nothing, moderation is basically non-existent. There are bottles / diaries that call for genocide of Jews / Israel and just seem to get away with it whenever we report. I strongly advise Jewish and LGBT+ users to avoid this app for their own safety.

Ruined it with recent update.
I used to receive lots of bottles (random messages from other users) daily. These weren't always high-quality messages or relevant to me, but the app made up for it with quantity. Enough of these messages had sufficient substance to make the app worth it. Now, they've seemingly throttled the number of daily bottles that free users can receive in a hamfisted attempt to get people to buy a subscription. It's gone down to about 5 bottles a day, and most of them are meaningless pleasantries like "hiiiiiiiiii" or "how are you today?" These pointless messages were always in the majority on this app, and now you're much less likely to receive anything else due to the forced limit on bottles received. Yet another good app ruined by greed. 🤬

giving someone false hope by notifying them for being DELETED?? im sorry but that is such an awful feature. it comes off like "hey! guess what? :) this person absolutely hated your guts, loser!! haha get bent"

Not very well moderated.
I was enjoying this app until some random user reported my profile pic. It was a genuine selfie, but they reported me for stealing pictures from the internet. I couldn’t believe it when my account got blocked. I’d done nothing wrong. It made me realise that you can make stuff up about someone you don’t like and have them blocked out of spite. I have cancelled my account. Life is too short for that kind of nonsense.

Uhh used the app for 20 mins and I get a weird question
So I downloaded the app out of boredom and curiosity, when I first see it the app looks kinda cool and also a little childish with the colours and stuff, also the avatar reminds me of Reddit avatars so I found that cool aswell, anyways before downloading it I didn’t realise HOW global this app is going to be, like I didn’t know that it also ment beyond age and nationality, I thought that I would get bottles from people within the same age group as me since I’m young and all, but anyways, I use the app for a little bit, and I also write a letter for the bottle and right in like a few seconds I get a notification saying that someone wanted to keep my bottle, so then I see that they also asked “can I ask you a question” so of course being a nice person and all I said “sure!” And then they said “oh I just saw that your 18” and I was like “yea 💔” and they said “well I was going to ask what your body count is” and I was shocked because what the hell ?!?! This is a global friends making app not a dating or hook up app, so I say “what in the hell” and then right afterwards I just delete the app because what possessed that person to want to ask me such a rediculous question, also I’m only eighteen and that person was in their twenties, so this makes it highly inappropriate, developer, while I did like how friendly the app seemed, could you perchance fix issues a in regards to averting inappropriate questions being asked to people along with other stuff within that category? Thanks

Man kann viele Länder entdecken und sich mit allen möglichen Menschen austauschen und je nach Feingefühl auch über alles. Leider ist der Anteil an Scam nur sehr hoch und viele sehen es als kostenlose datingmöglichkeit(über Ozeane hinweg(keine Ahnung)). Man kann Pech haben und an widerwärtige Menschen geraten (der Anteil wächst zusehends) aber ebenso auch Mega interessante Gespräche erschaffen. Es liegt an jedem selbst, diese Perle an App (fast komplett für lau und ohne Werbung) zu nem Ort zu machen, an dem man eine Flaschenpost reinwerfen möchte.
Einzig die USA möchte ich als Land markieren das einzig aus scammern besteht, vll auch nur subjektiv aber 8,8/10 Menschen wollten mir was andrehen oder mich manipulieren.

Honestly great. As a woman, a lot of bottles we receive are not great but you can report them and block. The concept is great and I have nurtured amazing friendships. It’s a nice app that doesn’t push you to buy stuff just to exist. Def recommend :)
