What's New in Braisery

2026.3

July 23, 2026

This update fixes bugs and adds a faster way to save recipes from sites that won't let you paste a link. • Paste-to-import: When a recipe is behind a login or paywall, copy the text and paste it in — Braisery pulls out the title, ingredients, and steps for you. • Smarter web import: Links from login-walled pages no longer import menu text and cookie banners. • Import from Crouton & Mela: Backup files now tell you which recipes had problems instead of skipping them silently. • Recipe Packs: Removing a pack now warns you first if you've edited any of its recipes. • Fixes a bug that could create duplicate recipes when switching apps mid-edit.

Finally!

A recipe app that has been updated. This has been a pleasure to use.

Perfect recipe app

I love how this app makes it easy to see the ingredients and the amounts as I’m cooking. Finally a recipe app that makes it easy to cook with it instead of fighting me the whole way. Great selection of recipes and easy to save new ones. Highly recommend.

FAQ

What is Braisery?

Braisery is a personal recipe library designed for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It allows you to import recipes from the web, organize them, and use a hands-free cooking mode. It is a one-time purchase with no ads or subscriptions.

How do I import recipes into Braisery?

You can import recipes by pasting a link from any recipe website. Braisery's on-device parser extracts the core recipe, removing introductory content. This feature requires Apple Intelligence support on your device.

What is Cook Mode in Braisery?

Cook Mode is designed for hands-free use in the kitchen. It features large text, tap-to-start timers parsed from recipe steps, keeps your screen awake, and supports VoiceOver for wet-hand navigation.

Does Braisery have ads?

No, Braisery is ad-free. The developer explicitly states 'No ads' and emphasizes a commitment to a private user experience without tracking or subscriptions.

How does Braisery handle shopping lists?

Braisery consolidates ingredients from all your selected recipes into a single shopping list. It groups items by aisle and automatically dedupes quantities, allowing you to check off items as you shop.

What devices does Braisery support?

Braisery is universal across all your Apple devices, including iPhone and iPad. It is built with SwiftUI to provide a native experience on each platform.

How often is Braisery updated?

Braisery receives free point releases (e.g., 2026.1, 2026.2) for minor updates. Major upgrades, like Braisery 2 and 3, will be sold as new App Store SKUs, allowing you to keep the version you purchased.

Is my recipe data collected by Braisery?

No, Braisery prioritizes privacy. It does not collect your data, and iCloud sync is optional and uses your own iCloud account, not a Braisery backend. Its privacy label states 'Data Not Collected'.
