Local Driver
One of the biggest benefits for me is accountability. If there are ever questions about routing or whether I was directed correctly, I can review my actual path and have clear documentation. That gives me confidence when discussing routes with dispatch or management.
I also like reviewing my day at the end of my shift. It gives me insight into how I’m being utilized as a driver, how efficient my routing was, and helps me stay oriented while I’m working. It’s almost like a daily performance snapshot.
The only improvement I would suggest is making the route tracking more precise so it follows the road exactly. Sometimes the line appears slightly off the roadway, and a tighter GPS match would make it even better.
Overall, it’s a very useful and practical app that I rely on regularly.

For the precision issue, please make sure the Location Precision setting is set to Best, which should help the track stick closer to the road.

I use it for (Australian) outback travel which is invaluable when travelling in remote areas.

Don’t Waste Your Time
I have a small Garmin GPS but i wanted something I could use on my phone, so trust me, this is not it…..They have a long way to go….
Maybe one day they’ll get it right, but right now its not looking so good

I want to be upfront about what Breadcrumbs is and isn't, because I think there may have been a mismatch in expectations. Breadcrumbs is a passive location history app - it records where you've been throughout your day, automatically and in the background. Think of it as a personal map diary rather than a real-time navigation tool. The numbered points you saw connected by lines represent your actual path, logged without any effort on your part. If you were looking for turn-by-turn breadcrumb navigation or a continuous real-time trail, you're right that Breadcrumbs isn't that - and I'm sorry the description didn't make that clearer upfront. That's on me, and I've since updated the app description to better explain what the app actually does.
