About
Breather’s interface and all guidance are in Chinese (Mandarin audio).
When life feels too heavy, come here and take a breather.
Breather (缓一缓) is a Mandarin-voiced companion for hard moments. When you can’t sleep, your heart races or something weighs on you, a dedicated meditation guide stays with you for a while.
【Put together for you, every time】
Rather than a pre-recorded track, each session rearranges sentences, breathing guidance and pauses around the state you choose, your answers before you start, the length you pick, the time of day and how often you’ve listened:
• Choose “Very anxious” and you’re asked if it’s something that happened, a worry about the future, or you’re not sure — each answer leads somewhere different
• The same meditation sounds a little different each time
• Longer sessions bring more guidance and longer pauses, leaving more time to meditate on your own
【When to open it】
• At night, when you can’t sleep and your mind won’t stop
• When anxiety hits and you can’t catch your breath
• When you keep putting things off and feel more anxious for it
• After criticism, a layoff, or any moment you can’t hold on
• When you just want a voice to keep you company
【Foundations, step by step】
If you want more than “a breather right now” — to feel steadier day to day — start with Foundations. You begin with breath focus, then learn one or two techniques at a time, such as body scan or noting (labelling thoughts as they come), building step by step. One session a day of 5 or 10 minutes, at your own pace. Miss a day? There’s nothing to make up. Some Foundations content requires a subscription.
【On sleepless nights】
The sleep session is a gradual body relaxation that fades to silence while background sound plays on. For longer, choose sleep music, from 30 minutes to 10 hours. Or skip the voice and play brown, white, pink or green noise, rain, a fireplace, ocean waves, night wind, bamboo wind, distant thunder, dripping eaves, an old wall clock, a mountain stream or a room fan, looping for up to ten hours.
【We won’t disturb you】
No community, no leaderboards — what you listen to is yours alone. No push notifications saying “you haven’t practised today”; come back whenever you like. Days you’ve visited are shown only for you to see, never to push you.
【How we keep you company】
• Pauses are part of the content. We don’t fill every second; when it’s time for quiet, we give the time back to you
• Not someone reading a script — more like someone beside you, speaking softly
• Breathing guidance and body scans bring you back from a racing mind to your body and the present
We want to stay with you until you can steady yourself, reaching your own goals through meditation.
