Confused

I don’t think the haptic buzz is working. I can’t tell when to start and stop tapping. So frustrating! I’d gladly pay for the app..if I knew it would work. Letting it go so you don’t have the same amount of time each time you take a reading is not helpful at all!! Please let me know what’s wrong!

Response from developer

Hi, and sorry for the frustration — let me clear this up! First, the changing time is intentional, not a glitch. Breathing rate is simply the number of breaths divided by the exact time they took. So rather than counting breaths over a fixed interval (which is less precise), the app measures the precise time your taps span and divides by your breath count. The more breaths you count, the more accurate the reading. Second, the haptic buzz isn't a metronome telling you when to tap — you tap once per breath whenever you're ready. It's a cue that you've measured long enough for a reliable result, so you know it's safe to stop. If you're not feeling any buzz at all, please check: • Haptic feedback is turned on in the app menu • The 30/60s haptic alert is also turned on (this is the "you can stop now" cue) • Vibration/haptics are enabled in your phone's system settings, and silent mode isn't suppressing them If it still doesn't work, email us at pabsoftware@gmail.com with your phone model and we'll sort it out. Thanks for giving the app a chance!

The absolute best!

Thank you for this app. Wish I could buy something to support it! My sweet cat was diagnosed with asthma and I use this app multiple times a day to track her respiratory rate.

Works!

Used it for my cat’s breaths per minute. The settings were a little confusing but I just used it as is and matched what I got doing it “by hand”

Winded

This respiratory rate measurement tool is flawed. I noticed that there is a stop measurement option for either manual or auto or manual. This is very confusing to me. I do understand the manual only. However, the auto only is not indicated as an option. I do believe that it would be much better if once the person has completed the assessment that some kind of an alarm goes off or the measurement just stops automatically on its own, I can tell you that I am not a well person so I will kind of doze off. That’s just my normal behavior so this tool, this instrument does not work for me because I may have my eyes closed the entire time that my respiratory rate is being measured. So this tool does not work for me sorry.

Works pretty good

I’ve used this app on both of my cats..I think it’s pretty accurate..the only negative is that I would like to store records on both pets but seems like it will only save for one pet. I’d like to save the information on both my pets so I can take it to my vet.

Great app

Very easy to use and well designed. Also appreciate the haptic feedback and animations. Thank you!

App won’t record breaths

The first few times I used this app it recorded the cats breaths with no problem. Then it just stopped
One can count the breaths and have them calculated per minute, but it will not store them
😿. So, I have to use a separate piece of paper to keep a record for the Vet
