About

Rank the burger, not the restaurant. BRGR is a journal for burgers. You rate one exact burger at one address — the Luger Burger at Peter Luger, not "Peter Luger" — because the restaurant is not the thing you ate. FOUR LAYERS, ONE SCORE Patty, Toppings, Bun, Build — weighted into one Bite Score out of 100. The patty is 40% of it, and the app shows you the weighting instead of hiding it. Two more one-tap answers, how the first bite landed and whether you would order it again, nudge the total. Six taps, no typing. EVERY BURGER ON THE MAP More than a hundred verified New York burgers across more than fifty neighborhoods, each one an exact menu item at an exact address. Open the map and browse them without an account. Search a neighborhood, filter to one, or put the nearest burger first. ATE ONE BRGR HAS NEVER HEARD OF Add it. Name the burger and the place, rank it, and it is in your journal straight away. A burger you added is visible only to you until a reviewer has checked the address. A SCORE YOU CAN TRUST A burger's public Bite Score appears only once five people have ranked that exact burger. One person's four answers are a judgement, not a verdict. Until then the burger's page says so and shows how many people have rated it. YOURS STAYS YOURS Your private notes, the prices you paid, your Want to Try list and your drafts are never shown to anyone. One switch — Public or Private — decides whether your profile, your Top 10 and your ratings are visible at all. Public means anyone can follow you and see them; private means nobody can. There is no per-rating choice to forget, and a preview shows you exactly what a friend would see. KEEP THE RECORD Photograph what you ate; the photo stays private unless you publish it. Build a Top 10. Say a line publicly on a burger's page if you want to, under your handle. Follow people whose taste you trust, or find the ones already on BRGR from your contacts. Export the whole journal as JSON whenever you want, and delete it — from the phone and the server — in one place. BRGR is free. No ads, nothing to buy, no subscription, and analytics you can switch off in Settings. New York only, for now.
