What's New in BridgeUSA Connect
1.0.1
October 23, 2026
New features Group chats: Start a group by naming it and picking members. The person who made it can add people. Anyone can leave a group they joined; chapter and region channels stay managed. Photos in chat: Up to 4 per message, tap to view full screen. Private to the people in that chat. Works on the website too. Composers in the app: Blog posts, with photos and a PDF. Bulletin issues, written or as a PDF (national staff). Resource links (CDCs and national staff). Chapter and position change requests: members ask from Settings. Chapter leaders, CDCs or the national team approve or decline in the app or on the website, and the member is notified. Admin tools (Profile → Admin tools): member approvals and change requests; members: suspend, reinstate, change role, set positions; moderation queue and blocks; chapters: approve, archive, edit description; audit log. New Home: “For you” first: unread chats, new replies, approvals waiting; a Chapter chat shortcut; network stats moved to the bottom. One Notifications screen: push on/off with a shortcut to iPhone Settings, what you get notified about, and email frequency. Drafts: unsent text in chats, forum posts, blog posts, replies and comments is kept even if the app is closed. Blog posts now show their photos in the app. Improvements Text contrast meets the accessibility minimum, and nothing is smaller than 11pt. Tapping an avatar in chat opens the profile. Screens that fail to load now show an error with retry, not “all caught up.” Search handles special characters and stale results correctly. Idea vote counts come from the server. Fixes Password reset links no longer show “expired” when the app opens fresh from the link. Messages no longer occasionally vanish or reorder in busy chats; loading older messages no longer wipes history. Editing a message no longer throws away a half-typed message. No more duplicate DM or group threads from a double tap or a failed lookup. Push notifications: this phone stops getting them after sign-out; tapping one opens the right screen even when the app was closed; the app icon badge stays accurate. If the profile fails to load, members get a retry screen instead of being sent to onboarding. The Notifications header no longer sits under the status bar.
