Can’t see the temp just a spinning wheel
App doesn’t stay signed in, and it’s useless because you never stop seeing the spinning gear icon. So I just have to go to the BBQ anyway

It doesn’t work. It doesn’t connect to your phone. I even noticed it asked me if I “want to contrinue with my selection”. Like a spelling error? On an app? That’s insane. It’s ridiculous how poor this app is. Shoulda just got a traeger

The app will not update, and while using it … and while using it, it will turn off my bbq … Hey BroilKing, do better
Crashes and logs out
App never stays connected to grill. Temp alerts don’t alert you. App will log you out and not let you log back in. It says user doesn’t exist even if you have an account. It won’t even send you password reset. Complete garbage app in 2026. Takes away from an otherwise decent pellet grill. Get it together guys!

-You have a 1 in 10 chances the smoker will connect with the app and stay connected.
-I have not been able to update my smoker in 3 months as it keeps failing.
-The app experiences feels stuck in 2015 with no features.
-They didn’t even bother to spell check as spelling is wrong on multiple windows and popups.

Screen Scaling
On my IPhone 14, the app does not fit the screen. I’ve reinstalled the app, checked firmware, confirmed the display to standard. What am I missing, as it seems to be zoomed in too much.
Randomly works and then doesn’t
I find that the app is very hit or miss if it works or not. At times it will say my smoker is off when it’s running which is very annoying. I wish the app was better - like the Traeger or Pittboss. Hopefully Broil King invests a bit of money in their app to make it worthwhile because it is handy when it works.

I had issues with controlling my grill with the app. The app developer provided me with personalized support and resolved my issues. Very friendly and responsive! I was very impressed with the support provided!
Bad experience overall
App keeps going off and on, tells me my smoker is off when it isn’t. Doesn’t connect even though I’m right beside it. Tells me to close my lid on the middle of cooking even though it’s been closed for an hour. And it times out. Terrible. Been like this for over a year and no improvements have been noticed. Wouldn’t have purchased the bbq knowing the app was this bad.

Hot garbage
Sure wouldn’t buy anything from this company again. Broil King firmware won’t update, app loses connection to grill constantly, doesn’t fit on screen (half of the data is off the side of the screen).
Not impressed
My smoker constantly looses connectivity with this app. Totally useless
notifications feature
I find when using a probe, the notifications feature randomly sends notifications for 1° or 2° temperature changes. this happens whether or not a probe temp is set. all firmware is up-to-date and this is a brand new unit.

I don’t typically rate apps. But scheriously! This is trash. It never wants to connect. You can’t set temp alarms. All around garbage

So disappointing!
Such a disappointment for the calibre of smoker. The app is terribly built, it’s so laggy and lacks cooking features. There is no temperature graph anymore to see your current cook.

The app works to do what it says it would do. I like to read the reviews of people who have obvious home network issues but blame the app.

Stuck on logging in screen
Very Basic
Very basic app controls. No way to calibrate grill or probes. App keeps saying I have a firmware update available for my smoker and the it will “be installed in the next 24hrs”…but it’s been weeks. Still hasn’t installed anything, and yes it’s on wifi and plugged in this whole time. There is also no way to delete past “cooks” from the graphs, so this list is just getting polluted with “cooks” every time I turn on the smoker. Seems they have put more effort in this app into the sales and marketing materials with essentially the Broil King website embedded in app, rather than actual useful functionality to control the smoker. If I wanted Broil King propaganda, I’d go to their website. When I open the broil king app, it’s to get work done…and it barely checks that box.

Terrible app
I can connect to the pellet grill, but cannot control anything, even though I used to be able to set temperatures and shut down the grill. If my phone screen shuts off or I navigate to another app, then I need to close out the iQue app and log in again to see the grill. Can no longer get the temperature graphs that used to be available. Every new update seems to remove more functionality.

Pre set temps at bottom of screen need to be moved
I like the app. Except for the location of the preset temps on the bottom of the screen. When I am smoking at 250 and I swipe up to close the window it will sometime change the temp to grill which is 400 😳. Started a grease fire and almost ruined my meat. This needs to be changed immediately.
