Biometrics Not working
Every time I have attempted to use the student app it forced me to type in my pin because biometrics was broken on the app however biometrics is supported on my phone and is set up and enabled on the student app and the app has permissions to use it

The ui is so cheap and you can just tell it was rushed especially the web page is terrible, my achievement points arent even synced up properly i just dont like the app in general most people can agree with me and why is there a pin this aint some banking app😂
Why this app is awful
This app is actually cooked. Genuinely one of the worst student sites i have ever ussed. Its buggy not fit for use and my school begrudgingly use it to save money on having to pay for satchel one ( a good site for homework) and a registration site you guys. I got constantly frustrated trying to actually get into the site in the first place. Its buggy glitchy and precisly awful, its like the devs were trying to make it bad.

Oh god. It’s gotten worse.
so remember my last review where i said this app kidnapped my family and threatened to take my left kidney? yeah that wasnt a joke.
since then things have escalated.
now the app calls me at 3am. it doesnt speak. it just breathes into the phone and hangs up. then 2 minutes later i get a notification saying "attendance updated". i was asleep.
Tried to delete the app. Then realised I needed it for school. So I decided to keep it.
the login now requires a retina scan, a voice sample, and one of my kidneys. i only have 2 left so i said no and it gave me a detention for "insufficient organs".
the timetable is no longer a timetable. its just a countdown. i dont know what its counting down to and i am scared to find out.
it emailed my mum, my dad, my dog, and the prime minister to tell them i was 2 seconds late to registration. the email was 14 pages long and included cctv footage.
i clicked "reports" and it generated a 40 page pdf about why i breathe too loud. it cc'd the headteacher.
the app now runs even slower because its using my phone to mine bitcoin and power a small village.
to be fair, I haven’t eaten in a few days cause my mum isnt here. I’m kinda hungry.

Good but one thing needs fixing
Overall, this app is excellent; you can add calendar events, see behaviour and lots of things like that but there is no option to hide homework.
When the teacher clicks “offline submission”, in the old app, you could hide homework but with the new app you can’t.
So please, can you fix this issue then I will give it a 5 star review

Review from a student
I personally do not like this app. The app is super slow and unresponsive. While the original app we used was called class charts and it was super responsive. I also do not like how only the parent account has announcements while the student half doesn’t. I think this is dumb because us as the student needs to know that information too!
Overall, I believe that this app isn’t great and shouldn’t have been forced to be used by many students of RCT.

Can't make some homework disappear and is hard to use, homework disappears when shouldn't

Very impress with the app but they should let us see clubs and trips and messages from school so we can really know whats going on just like they included important documents and detentions to keep us updated.

Never loads
doing my gcses at the moment and the app can never load me on, constantly signs me out, doesn’t show homework clearly and it can’t even be ticked off when completed!! nearly the end of the year and i’m stuck with tasks I completed months ago!!

They have indeed changed the app layout which is better, but most people won’t be able to access the website because it uses a username/password and now magic link… so improve ya stuff!
Terrible update that has not had fixes after months
My school used to use Satchel One which was in my opinion superior. When we first switched to Bromcom, the app was probably 3 stars. While there wasnt a tick homework off option, I could still hide the homework which is fine.
But now after this horrendous update, I can’t hide the homework and the homework section itself now is extremely laggy.
Also, logging in with apple id no longer works, even though theres a setting to toggle it on, which doesnt actually toggle it on. Plus i still believe there should be an option to disable using a pin in the first place.
The rest of the app is fine and has always been fine.
