Over the past 25 years, BTA coaches, starting with our director, Dan Barrie, have led the way in professional tennis coaching services in Bahrain. All BTA coaches are full-time international-level certified teachers with a strong background in playing and coaching. But what truly sets BTA coaches apart is their passion for teaching and their deep understanding of students' needs at every stage of their development. We are fortunate that coaches typically choose to stay with our team for many years, offering students a high level of continuity. BTA was officially founded in 2009 with the mission to raise the profile of tennis in Bahrain through quality coaching. The academy's main base is located at the Dilmun Club in Saar, but it also operates in other locations such as the British School of Bahrain, Hamala, Kinder World Pre-school branches, and private venues. BTA offers the most extensive range of programs of any academy in Bahrain. Students in our junior programs are grouped by age and skill level, matched with the appropriate court size, equipment, and ball type to maximize their progress, following the International Tennis Federation (ITF) guidelines. We use specialized equipment to foster a love for the sport in children as young as 2 years old. These young players then have the opportunity to progress to international competition if they so desire. For adults, we offer a variety of private lesson time slots in the morning and evening. For those who prefer group learning, we provide a range of course levels to ensure that students can learn and progress alongside players of similar skill. We are also an authorized provider of Cardio Tennis, a fun group fitness class based on tennis. Other offerings include internal tournaments, open tournaments, holiday camps, and our exclusive Junior Champ Award program, a participation-based reward system designed to motivate children to reach their potential.
