Perfect for Positioning Solar Panels

I finally found the app I was looking for! When used with my Solar Angle Guide, this gives me the precise true azimuth, elevation, and time of the position of the sun. No pop-up ads, as advertised.

Strange behavior

If I align to north and rotate the phone precisely 180 degree the needle deviates 9 degree.
If I use two phones and align them, they also differ. HWplease

The digital compass in a phone is not very accurate, as it is easily affected by local magnetic fields. If you are doing big movements with your arms holding your phone (see the help screen, "figure 8" movements are suggested) before each measurement and avoid placing the phone near metal/magnets, you should expect an accuracy of about +/- 2 degrees or so. At least that's what most users get with various iPhones - although from model to model they can be better or worse. If you are consistently getting worse performance, make sure you don't have something like a magnetic clasp case etc. In any case, there's nothing "magic" an app can do to fix this, it is a hardware limitation of all phones.

The best Caravan level

This levelling app is the best and easiest I’ve tried. A bonus is the built in compass. I use it everyday when we are travelling with a caravan or car camping. Brilliant.

Replaces the utility of the Meade 1025 (discontinued)

GREAT app! Only as accurate as you are in placing it square on your scope (AND level, for example: on your eyepiece holder) - but that is ON THE USER, not the app’s problem. A big “Thank You” to the developer!

Very useful

I do astrophotography as a hobby and this app is essential during the initial setup process. The UI is clean and easy to read(unlike Apple’s) and it’s free!

Awesome and Convenient!!

I use this all around the house. Mounting pictures or shelves, setting the HD Antenna to point correctly, and just finding out where you’re headed is a breeze! Thanks!

Great for RV leveling

Downloaded this app on iPhone as a tool to help level a Motorhome. Most use an old school bubble level to determine level, but knowing the actual angles help determine how much to raise the Motorhome to achieve level.

Great tool and just what I needed.
